Updated. Now, you can change the cost of metabolism, complexity, and archite capsules to any value you want for any gene you want. Thanks for the offer. As I said before, I don't play 1.6 and don't own Odyssey, so the best way how anybody can help me, is to report bugs, incompabilities, etc. The screenshots and Steam description will be updated shortly.

Well, I eagerly await that update. We (my wife and I) can't really make the races we want (and still be balanced) until then. If we can help in some way, let us know. But neither of us is a code monkey anymore (I used to be years ago). But we can help with tests and such.

Currently, no. The mod only allows setting it to 0. With a future update, I plan on adding the ability to input custom values.

Hmmm... so if I see a gene that costs 4 metabolism and I think it should only be 2.... my only option is to make it unbalanced at 0 or leave it unbalanced at 4. There's no way to put in a value?

The mod has been updated for 1.6. I still play 1.5, so I couldn't test compatibility with Odyssey. If there are bugs or incompatibilities, please report them.

Tried running it in 1.6 ... to no avail it seems. Me and my wife are hoping to use this mod to help us create some fun new races to play with. We're a little leery of starting a new game until we are able to use this mod for balancing purposes though.

That being said, I'd like to politely ask, any idea when this mod might be updated? Not intended to rush, just so we know how long to wait before coming back to the game.

Think you could also add an ability to manually disable certain genes overriding other genes with this mod? (Unless this mod already does that and i just didnt notice that bit)

Would you also be able to change the group that the gene falls under? Different mods use different group names and I'd love to be able to fix that on the fly

Can you set genes to be 100% passed on to offspring?
The idea I had was for a specific gene that always passes on to make sure that it survives as long as the colony is safe. Kinda of a way to prove a bloodline.

welp.... the mod change gene attributes got yanked off the workshop, gotta replace it with this it seems. Let's see if i can remake my hive of crackshot xenomorph birth parasite wasp gals.

yes parasite wasps exist on earth, that is what this race has been inspired by. Yes, there are parasite wasps of parasite wasps referred to as "hyper-parasites". parasites of parasites. why? because those pirates should know better than to drop through the ceiling of my base with shotgun wielding murder hornets eager to capture their next group of (un)willing incubators.
