It's hard to do anything with it, especially to set it to the Jets DLC standard, since you have to change some values in the .p3d file to enable the dynamic loadout.
What I can do is fix all the bugs and improve the textures.
I always thought it was cool how both in and out of universe the F/A-18X was essentially the prototype for what eventually became the F/A-181, because the mod turned into the DLC.
I love using them in air operations as fighter-bombers but the flight models are horribly outdated, slow, and they have no weapon options.
It's been largely forgotten and overlooked by the DLC but I think it's a perfect half-step between the hornets we know irl and the armaverse take on a future hornet variant.
Plus I think the model is basically just a block 3 super hornet, so it's not even that "futuristic" anymore.
It's kinda just... contemporary.
@Spartan 208 - In the gryphon there are no plans for the double rack Maverick due to the use of the real Gripen as a base, while in the Black Wasp I have plans for new weapons, including the double rack Maverick.
@Zandrus - I'm already working on these units... they'll be available soon.
Well... we're talking about 2035.
@Zandrus - Maybe it will work, but there's a chance of bugs because my mod is a rebalance as well.
@Aurora / @Adida - The IR sensor depends on the target being hot, the weather, and the distance for anything to appear on the sensor. With the F/A-181 probably nothing will appear on the sensor, but with a drone close to the target, the target may appear and lock on via Data link.
I have improved radar detection to make it easier to locate ground targets.
@Aurora / @Adida - The JASSM uses the vanilla cruise missile system, so it is necessary for an allied unit to find the target, either with a laser, visual sensor, or IR sensor. The target must be stationary.
With radar, the target can be acquired, but it will depend on the location of the target. In lower parts of the map or areas with many obstacles, the radar may have difficulty locating the target.
@kiba3x - All the new weapon configs are in the dependency mod.
I did it this way to make it easier to implement new weapons, new features and to prevent any potential bugs or conflicts between mods.
@Spartan 208 - Yes... I have plans for VF-1 skin and other squadrons too.
