The main thing is to restore the bridge to the small left island as quickly as possible and build a wall 2 blocks high along its perimeter. After this, there will be no problems for 20-30 beavers to survive in any drought.

I'm enjoying this one in a very slow but hardmode play through. so far I am living but that may not last much longer!
