thank you for the kind words! I found myself walking through the city when testing the map myself.

however, even in this small environment I had a lot of issues where the engine straight up just stopped rendering because there was too much stuff.

it could have just been some weird bug with the map, but I would hate to deal with those kinds of bugs in a larger map.

I am working on something secret though that I think you and a lot of people will be excited about though!

Would you consider making a larger expansion of this map? I love the atmosphere here, I would love to take a stroll through the rest of this building, There are fair and far few Beta Maps I feel properly invoke City 17's Beta "Chicago Inspired" Urban architecture with these brickrow skyscrapers.

i used pakrat for mine and it always worked for me (except deleting textures inside the bsp causes corrupt textures) it is outdated but i had better chances with it than vide

yeah thats the thing, I tried by using VIDE but barely any of the assets got packed. don't really know why.

you should pack all of the models and textures inside the bsp file, that way the textures that replaces the base assets will only be replaced when you're playing the map, but then gets reverted when you play on another map

It's okay. just annoying when hunting through addons to see what happened and stuff isn't specified. I'm currently trying to hunt other issues down lol

you might have a mod that replaces the cubemap, or maybe it just broke on your end. anyways u can do mat_specular 0 for the time being to see it just fine.
