@Construct yes, but I am not planning to. You can just add free points in sandbox options and take this trait "for free". Anything above 25% makes animations look bad and combat becomes trivial

@soemwhatfrog do you think you could make a mod that speeds up attack animations by 25% or 50% in general, without it being a trait?

+ added 6 and 8 trait points versions, regular version is required to be enabled

you can safely switch between versions. Making sanbox option to work properly would require too much shenanigans which might create compatibility issues with other mods which I'd prefer to avoid

Yes, that's possible, will add sandbox option in a day or two. You could've just asked right away instead of starting the "balance" debate heh

somewhatfrog ,if you mean reducing available trait-points globally that would punish everyone who doesnt want to use this trait.as they would loose points too.
i think it would be a better solution to implement a sandbox option for this mod so we can decide how much it should cost...if thats possible :)

This should cost 8 points. +2 axe is not worth the same as +1 long blunt +1 axe. +2 axe is worth like 4.5 points if +1 was worth 4. +1 str is worth 2 points.

Melee-matician working with every weapon instead of only axes makes it worth far more than just axes only as well.

Perhaps most of all the base game traits and professions aren't even balanced to begin with. It's not good to balance off the base game when the base game stuff is not balanced.

@Astroz it increases your combat speed by 25%, just as axeman trait. There is a bug in game where some data in memory is not refreshed between loading different save files within the same session, it is recommended to fully restart the game whenever you switch between different save files and/or multiplayer servers. This might be the reason you don't see any difference

i dont understand what it does, just started a game w this mod and took the perk but i dont see any improvments, can u explain further what it does pls ?

@Raid: Shadow Legends enjoy and don't worry it is a fair price, here's some food for thoughts:
Lumberjack is 8 points
+2 Axe, assume Brawler which is 6 points
+1 Str, assume half of Stout, which is 3 poins (but pretty sure devs would make +1 Str cost 4 points lol)
Axeman is a free trait at the lowest and attack speed boost is not its only effect

+ improved the implementation, now it works exacly like Ax-pert (Axeman)
+ now works with Heavy weapons
+ not mutually exclusive with Paniqeur anymore
