can u change the gun pick up to something else than shoving, i had a situation where a bot once shoved and took my minigun and i was unable to get unless i killed the bot.

oh yeah we discovered that very early on. Used commands to give ourselves enough guns to reach the skybox, then removed the bottom few so we had a floating minigun staircase. It's also good for climbing up into trees and things.

I also found out that with 2 mounted guns you can gain infinite height if you're careful enough to not delete one out of existence by holding fire bullets when shoving the gun. This can be used to skip some sections of maps or just to go to random places. It's like towering with powdered snow in Minecraft

thats how every script works...

you cant join a server youre not hosting and change how it works with scripts. you need to be the host. otherwise anybody could join your server and completely fuck it up

i tried it on online survival mode and it just turns into a regular incendiary ammo, it works on singleplayer survival though, i don't know if that's on purpose or is it supposed to work online as well?

This is really nice. The only way I think you could improve it would be some balancing. It's a bit OP so I see three ways to nerf it: (1) drastically increase the setup time, (2) give it a limited amount of ammo, or (3) limit the number of times it can bet setup, say once, before it is stuck where it is set.

Even better if you could release the nerf as a separate mod so that people who like how OP this is can enjoy it. I'm sure this mod as it currently is would be a massive help in some of the more ridiculous custom campaigns.

This mod works by spawning a minigun at the coordinates of a deployed explosive ammo box. Sometimes when you deploy explosive ammo, it spawns a little too close to you. That’s normally fine since you can just walk over it, but the minigun is too big and you’ll get stuck in it. If that happens you just have to shove it and redeploy it again.

@Geebanger0 Okay, so after just testing it out on hard rain, they do work without causing any game crashes. And after doing what you said with un-subscribing and re-subscribing to the texture mod, they textures work fine. But when I picked up and deployed an explosive ammo pack, it spawned me inside the minigun instead. I read the description first about how you can't use incendiary ammo with this mod enabled, but is it normal that you can't use explosive ammo either?

@T626 they both change the textures. If you want to use the textures from the mod you linked then just sub to that after subbing to this one

@Geebanger0 I just discovered that both of your deployable minigun mods conflict with https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1347619094 . Probably for obvious reasons (editing the same game files). I'm about to run a test on Hard Rain to see if their conflict causes game crashes. Just lettin' you know.

also im not editing it to make them unshovable

reason being that sometimes the gun spawns on your current position and you get stuck in it. If you cant remove it then youre screwed

I think a cfg file can also become a solution for that. For example, add a feature on a cfg file like "allow_picking_minigun", & put it on "entity_shoved" event function where the minigun picking mechanism happens. & when it's set to 0, any miniguns deployed on the ground can't be picked anymore.
