thanks for the prompt response. Also, your mod is very much appreciated by me. Thanks for the work you've done.

@bobby.hostile - Since there hasn't been an update to screw over the mod with vanilla, you have either added another mod that is causing an issue, or you have the mod order wrong maybe. I would suggest starting a new game with your current setup to see if the error recurs, and then swap out stuff you've added to find trhe culprit

@Monkey Magic - For some reason, all the various tapes have stopped working. I can still see them, but any attempt to load them into a VCR elicits the red "error" border. Vanilla tapes can still be loaded. The only mods related to Skill tapes is the Missing Codes and the individual skill tapes themselves. Suggestions please?

Yes. These mods are already a pain in the ass to update when there's an issue. Each mod is a set of around 6 tapes. Each tape has 31 lines of text in one file. The majority of these have references like this:

{ text = "RM_72ac111e-0d0c-4a29-a494-7ab69e5d5f9f", r = 0, g = 0.682, b = 0.941, codes = "" },

Each of these lines is then referenced by another file like so:

RM_72ac111e-0d0c-4a29-a494-7ab69e5d5f9f = "[img=music] Whittling and You [img=music]"

Now imagine 32 lines of this x6, and you have what one file looks like. Now imagine all all the mods were one file. It's now a ton of random gobble-de-gook that's a super pain in the ass to comb through.

Now you know why

is there a reason why the mod developer didn't just include all of it in a single package for all the skills?

very good i think

@Smokey-Bonez - No worries. I looked into it, and it looks like the author made a catch-all video for non-vanilla tapes. The VHS will play as normal, and you will gain XP as normal, but the screen will show as black, with white flickering - like the video tape is damaged XD

But yeah, if you want something watchable, you'll need to ask them about possibly making patches or something, or wait for someone else to do so.

My apologies, thank you for your time!

@Smokey-Bonez - Regarding your first question: Any compatibility requirements with TV & Radio ReInvented would have to be done on their side, but I imagine they should work reqardless, albeit without the moving pictures etc

I have answered the second question multiple times on various versions of the Skill Tapes series, including this one. While I have no intention of making a combination mod, I did make a Steam Collection on request which has all the tapes for ease of access.

Love the VHS mods! 2. Questions; Are they compatible with the new TV and radio rework mod? Is it also possible to do an all in one VHS mod that includes all your skill tapes? Thank you!
Monkey Magic  [author] 26 Jan @ 11:50am
@S7, and Mojor_Mooseman - Okay I mixed up "collection" with "combination" previously - but yeah, I guess it was 3am for me. But yeah, I get what toy were asking for now. I have since made a Steam Collection with all the Skill Tapes series in. It's been flagged for B42, since it includes all the new skills, but they can easily be checked for B41 players
Major_Mooseman 24 Jan @ 11:22pm
People can still pick and choose which ones they want, even if they are in a collection. Adding them to a collection doesn't make subscribing to the collection the only way to get them
Monkey Magic  [author] 18 Jan @ 7:03pm
@S7 - Yes, I am aware what they were asking for. And as I said, that question was answered below. I will not be making theses into a single collection for the reasons I mentioned
S7 18 Jan @ 1:46pm
I think the commenter meant to say could you make these into a single COLLECTION somewhere on your mod page. Like how some car mods put the whole sets into a single page but not a single mod.
Monkey Magic  [author] 16 Jan @ 8:51pm
@Major_Mooseman - I amswered that question 4 posts below you..
Major_Mooseman 16 Jan @ 8:16pm
Could you make a collection of all the skill tape mods so we can have them all in one place? :)
Sentient_Worm 15 Jan @ 8:54am
I was looking at in the future when multiplayer is available. I'm perfectly fine with the current system when playing single player
Monkey Magic  [author] 15 Jan @ 1:20am
I know it's a bit of a pain having to click each set on, but you'll only be doing it the once, right? And if you do need to turn some, or all off again for some reason, there's a filter to "select enabled mods only" that will make the task easier ^
Sentient_Worm 15 Jan @ 1:15am
Ohh ok
Monkey Magic  [author] 15 Jan @ 12:25am
I've mentioned the reasons on others of the Skill Tapes series, but the short answer is no. They will remain separate so people can pick and choose what they want. Having a consolidated mod would be redundant, and make fault-finding a much harder task.
Sentient_Worm 15 Jan @ 12:14am
Would you consider merging all the skill tape mods together as a single mod?
Rendan 14 Jan @ 12:28pm
Ah. A fine addition to my collection.
Monkey Magic  [author] 14 Jan @ 7:54am
Okay, we're done now. This set covers all the combat skills, as well as the physical skills nimble, sneaking, and lightfooted. The Combat Tapes mod is designed to give your character a little insight into these skills, and as such is not a comprehensive course as the individual Skill Tape series are.
