I agree with HappyRooster007. The explosions are weak in comparison with the gun sound. This version is similar to the first version.

In my opinion the sounds of gunfire and bullet cracks sounds are too loud and other sounds are quiet. Like impact sounds of artillery and other explosions. I only hear gunfire firefight and bullet cracs. Btw in the previous version were sound of explosions better. But this is my opinion. Compared to the previous version, the ambient sounds have improved a lot more. I mean the distance sounds of explosions, firefights etc.

Praetorian 1C doesn't have sound. Need a fix.

Hand grenade sounds are now terrible and you can hear exactly when they start/repeat, like somebody is playing grenade.wav in winamp 2002

@_mickey_ Ideally nice sounding tails will get built into this mod package, that way it's part of the core and you don't get let down by servers that don't have Enhanced Soundscape whitelisted. And being the main thing this mod seems to be missing it would be a shame to not have long and brutal tails and environmental sounds there to complete the soundstage.

Some notes.

Most of the corabins sound super great, but please pay more attention to the submachine guns, some like MP-5, MP-7, Scorppion. Almost all of them have mediocre sound, even worse than the originals (NiArms, GM).
Also, it seems to me that the sound of reverberation when shooting from inside should be noticeably louder. When supressor shooting from the first person, the sound is very loud, it almost does not justify its name (supressor). IMHO.

aircraft cannons should be hearable from really far away, like irl and DCS

when you do a gun run with a jet thats not the A-10, no one notice it, it sounds just like autocannon bullets fired from nothing

Any chance the tails and echo effects can be boosted? The gunfights sound very hollow because it's just a series of pops and cracks without much reverb.
It really needs some long and loud tails to make the firefights actually feel deadly rather than feeling like a party popper fight.

i love it, but please tell me the whisleing Missiles sound is a placeholder and gets changed right? it sounds like fireworks hahaha, and maybe i am the only one but the CRAM Turret has no gunsound for me.

Great weapon sounds, but engine sounds need a lot of work (like the FIA truck). And the footsteps are quite meh. I wish this mod would be modular (Weapons/Helos/Cars...etc.) so I can choose which parts to use, and I think more ppl would subscribe that way. For now I'm gonna go back to dyna.

The gun and cannon sounds are very well done, but the explosions have absolutely no punch. I want to switch to this from Dynasound 2, but why does a 500lb bomb going off 200m away sound like distant thunder? In Dynasound, when you are getting shelled or watching close air support, you can almost feel the explosions.

I'm really happy with the gun sounds, but the footstep sounds aren't great. I tried installing another mod that I prefer, but it conflicts with this mod. Looks like I have to pick one over the other.

i use nahimic on pc to edit bass n treble and put on night mode. ive never had to turn anything up while using this mod, only down. its epic

serious question, is it not a speaker sound issue you's are having? im using pioneer studio monitors and everything sounds sik. explosions are EXPLOSIVE! gun fire has the serious, GET DOWN! effect, especially Duska. Artillery SLAM!s. i regularly have to dive at the speakers to turn down so the street doesnt think its WW3 ha

Hello, I'm one of the aux modders for an OPTRE unit, I noticed that the Spartan Laser we use makes a DEAFENING noise whenever fired, is there something we can add to the weapon config to be ignored by this mod so it doesn't murder our players ears?

the volume of the explosions are exaggeratedly low, the sound of footsteps too, but the gunshots are very well done

Hi LordJarHead, The mod is excellent, but I would like to know if the helicopters that launch missiles like Hellcat, Orca and LittleBird have laser sounds when the missiles are launched, it is very strange, is this just for me or is it really like this? Several players who play on my server have commented on this

@Neb - Well, Neb, I can not speak for the dev, as a dev myself and a programmer for many decades, I can say with some experience, that what you seek might not be done.


Why?


#1 - He never did such for with the 'v1' of his sound mod (the original sound mod from years back).


#2 - There is an EXTREME limited 'market' for this mod - 600 people in 2 years. My mod, which is a 'behind the scenes' mod, has 'no flashy stuff, bangs, or even eye candy', has almost 4 times the subscribers.


#3 - It is INCOMPLETE (i.e. unfinished)

#4 - While the dev can create a mod that covers every weapon mod out, I doubt he will, as the time required and no one is paying him to do such. There are probably 100+ weapon mods out. It is not practicable. Do YOU work for free? ;) This IS a 'highly skilled job' that most do not realize what IS called for to do this 'job' and to DO IT RIGHT. I DO have some idea... ;)


#5 - He is not being paid, thus, he most likely will devote his time to the MAJOR weapons packages, such as RHS and CUP.


#6 - Again, while I am not him. If you offered to PAY HIM, IN CASH, UPFRONT, (so there are no 'charge backs), he MIGHT do it for you.



I do not speak as a 'partner' of his, rather a programmer, as a ARMA developer, as a 'general user', and as an ARMA 'veteran' of 20+ years In other words...THIS IS JUST AN OPINION! ;)


Want the 'straight story'? Get from the "horse's mouth and not from the horse's ass".... ;)
