I am loving these missions, but at cobra I am having the same issues as Capt Fubar and other. Anti Ship missle launch, then dissapear them reappear basically on top fo my fleet and take out the Long Beach. Three times in a row over a few days now. Hopefully there is a fix because I dont wont to jyst skip a mission.

you should always push out helicopters with radars on to catch far-away missiles that are below the radar horizon.
you can't just leave your ships undefended.
This is a great mission!

I have the same issue as Captain Fubar. Styx missiles get launched in first 30 sec, disappear from radar when the go low, don't get picked up by Long Beach until they're 5 miles out and destroy the Long Beach. 3 times in a row now.

First run at this I lost the Long Beach and the CG to torps from the sub. second run I lost all my helos to shore gunfire but found the sub before it sent torps my way. Budget oversight committee gave me 2 thumbs up. Fun mission and series to play.

@jasoriab, okay, i have to remap all the mission briefings, so I will do it, but not tonight like I was planning lol
iBlank  [author] 26 Jan @ 1:45pm
@FUBAR, gonna call it a feature not a bug, I didn't see too many issues surviving that first wave
@Killa, thanks for the feedback!
@Jasoriab, I sure can

Hi @iBlank

Could you add all the missions under a campaign called, for example, Task Force 75.3 or something similar? That way all the missions would be together.

To do this, all you have to do is create a directory with the name you want to give to the campaign inside the missions directory, and into this new directory, copy the files for the different missions.

Your scenarios are fantastic! keep on!
Captain Fubar 19 Jan @ 11:20am
they immediately launch at scenario start
iBlank  [author] 19 Jan @ 6:49am
@fubar do you mean they launch at scenario start? Redfor should not be able to until 10-15 minutes in
Captain Fubar 18 Jan @ 11:10pm
anti ship missiles are immediately launched at the task force and i lose the longbeach

@iBlank perhaps have a green RA-5C check in early mission while the player is still sorting out the contact clutter. Have it make one high speed pass, which will give the player limited time to get the TLAMS underway then proceed with the mission as you have it already. The RA-5C's are pretty SAM/AA resistant so a single ship sortie at high speed should do it. The extra task saturation should up the challenge, and you can fulfill the briefing task presented.

@jinglebaza, thanks for the support! Hopefully not as long a break to phase 5

@buckoff, sorry the first play through wasn’t as good as normal, I added a better message/end mission trigger but no substantive scenario changes. I thought about having SEAD check in after Frago 01 but I like keeping the missions to a reasonable play through length
buckoff124 17 Jan @ 1:47pm
@iBlank yea it was a chore and my FFGs are going to have to have an extended yard period now.

I really with the game would extend the VID for aircraft and ships range at night a bit especially when it's not totally dark out.

Looking forward to your next mission.

I see iBlank mission, I subscribe
iBlank  [author] 17 Jan @ 4:05am
@buckoff, oh yea, no, intent was not to engage the shore targets at all really; after you complete FRAGO 01 (the escort) that is supposed to be mission complete; I'll reword the victory message and add an actual end mission check once escort duties are completed

The shore targets are there mostly to help REDFOR F2T2EA BLUFOR, and some realism; without SEAD, MPRA, or big guns, destroying the shore targets must have been a PITA

This didn't play very fluidly for me. Basically had to wait until sunrise to be able to get any target ID to engage the shore targets with TLAM, and lost most of my helicopters attempting to scout it at night to the 4.5 inchers. Tried a FFG and it got shot up pretty bad before I could get out from under the shore batteries. Maybe I didn't play it as you intended?

Finally, I have been waiting for you to make another mission!
