This map is pretty amazing. It does work fine in GMOD, but I have no plans on publishing it to the GMOD workshop.

Vortigaunts were STINGY as hell, but that's probably because of me playing on Hard difficulty. Also the inside reminds me of hl2 beta lol
Overall, not a remake of the entire chapter but still neat anyways :gman:

I've just updated the map to replace the combine helicopter with a gunship.
I assume you used the Combine Helicopter instead of the Gunship as the boss fight. Don't force players to take it down with the RPG. Instead give them Pulse Turrets(from the Airboat) or the Gravity Gun.

there isnt alot i can add that others havent said, a really fun map compared to most on the workshop but the helicopter boss fight is comically long!

Try putting a wall near the fence during the helicopter fight, because it keeps hiding and drags on for a while. Overall a good campaign though!

I gave the boss 2800 health points on hammer, but the game doesn't seem to care about it.
And if you think I'm lying, I can send you screenshots of the level on hammer.

So, the helicopter's health (on Hard difficulty at least) is 5,600. The maximum damage of a rocket is 200. You need to hit the helicopter 28 times in order to finish the game.

This map is good, but this boss battle is bordering on inexcusable. npc_helicopter accepts an input that will set its health to a fraction of its maximum health, and that input is SetHealthFraction according to the Valve Developer Wiki . There's multiple approaches that you can take to set the health of the helicopter.

Please update the boss battle for the sake of your map, as it's the only true negative experience it provides. Everything else is nice.

@Baranjio I did it on Hammer with an ai_relationship entity, the game only allows you to damage a vortigaunt if it's hostile to the player.
Otherwise there might be an addon on the workshop that allows you to damage friendly npcs in general.
