I haven't played this game in a very long time.
I noticed this mod has not been updated since 2016...

didn't think that mattered, thought those lists stacked from what I read right now one of the bigger mods is causing breakage randomly on load

Hm, do you have the mod at the top of the spawn list? The ships are still spawning for me, though at a rarer rate.

Also, on a side note, the little fighters that spawn with these are being modified to seek out and attack players with the new pirate code. It's fun to shoot those little guys down, haha.

1.100 has broken this it seems, no ships listed spawn, tested on a small finite map

Ok, I put it at the top of the list, it is just a regular creative session, i have tried in both online and offline, I use this, armored engines, a couple of cockpit mods, nothing that changes the design, but just adds in new stuff, and a few custom outfits (by outfiits i mean spacesuits)

Hmm, do you guys have the cargo ships enabled, and all the mods in use? I believe it helps to put the NPC Spawn mod at the very top of the list. Also, are these local servers or dedicated servers? Thanks.

how do you use these, when i open a map with this mod it just spawns me in regilarly, with no npcs, i have traversed entire maps in a grid search pattern and never once saw even one ship that i did not build, and those were stationary

you cold create perfect replicas using the small ship mod in the sense that you could place cockpits and gun control areas like they have in the game (just a idea though i can understand not wanting bugs or forcing mods on people)

I don't want to force people to get too many mods, and if I remember correctly I think those turrets had issues in survival?

Props on the gravity drive trap. Ingenious, original, and evil, I love it. It's a huge pain in the rear,but if you manage to ccapture it, you have a gravity drive.

All you need to do is suscribe and then add it to your mods list and the ships will spawn randomly. Also, new update inbound with a dedicated cargo ship!

The gravity trap will cause the ship to accelerate to full speed almost instantly, which will squish any unfortunate engineers inside and allow the ship to escape.

Also, I'm glad you guys are enjoying the ships! A new advanced cruiser has been added to the roster, and the existing ships have gained escorts for added difficulty.

question, this gravity drive booby trap, what does it do? does it make the ship accelerate sharply if you trip it, or what?

Awesome Mod, after all nite and a dozen attempts I finally got that Cruiser, Very nice security system! Cant wait till you add more to the list and see another name pop up to go see what awaits me. Thanks for adding them

Sarge and I spent a long time building ships to kill each other, wait for the large ones to come out. They're not easy to take over at ALL. :D

ths sgt kelly. cause theyd be fun to play with. i dont like going after ships and captureing em. and with turrets that are not friendly...well cant spawn that near my base....or get near it. well sometimes

Thanks Sgt Kelly! Much appreciated. I decided to start learning the basics of item creation modeling and downloaded blend and Gimp2, however I spent most of the time this morning removing malware as a result of the downloads. There is a fairly large learning curve with that. Bangs head against the wall...

I did have a player capture the cruiser last night.

These ships are actually all available as Blueprints on my workship, and there's also a world map with them all loaded in. :)

Awesome work! Cruiser's gravity drive "Trap" is sick. I have spent whole night trying to figure out how to capture that ship..

I look forward to it! Had them spawn tonight - what do you know, a few players decided to no longer go after the ships with their suits only. None were taken. Can the speeds be tweaked if there appears to be some lag with a hacking boarding party. I have run into issues with the existing cargo ship option with a few of the ships moving too fast.

I'd like to learn more how you are setting up the mod - being new to the modding community I am still trying to piece together how this is done. Thanks again.

Yep! There are plenty more ships planned for this mod, as well as a large difficulty increase. The next update will be introducing turret-equipped fighter support for the current ships, and when the big 7+ mil ships come out, they'll have full size military cruisers covering them.

My end goal is to have a sort of difficulty curve that goes up as the player progresses, with the elite and better stocked ships being significantly harder to take down.

Excellent! The big problem I have, the current cargo mod pack as many ships however it seems the majority of them do not defend with incoming players. The small ships I am not too worried about, however, they have grabbed several larger ships 3mil to 7mil in size with no effort. I want the high risk high rewards concept. It is survival. Will you be adding more ships?

@Sergeant Kelly, thank you. A large ship from this pack flew by my base yesterday. It was almost on a collision course. I don't know which ship it was because I had my HUD off and was too worried about this ship almost hitting my base too think of turning it on.

These are just normal cargo ships for the most part. They do have RC modules but those are more for the player to use after they capture the ships. I am thinking of adding sensor-guided smart bombs as escorts for these, though!

As for dedicated servers and multiplayer, I've played with these in muliplayer and they work fine, since the server is responsible for the NPC spawn list and mods. The ships themselves are not overly complex so they shouldn't lag dedicated servers either.

NPC = Non Player Character, these arent reaaaally characters.. so perhaps call them NPS? (Non-Player Ships?)
