The good news: It appears to be working without much issue in 1.6

The bad: The upgrade things are all grey'd out save for the 4 bed weapons facing forward.

More good: You can still upgrade as normal.

@:D - It's a problem with most armored vehicles in CE, I've noticed that too. I want to make it to where the autonomous turrets become disabled after the vehicle takes enough damage, but there's currently a bug with VF preventing me from doing that for turrets added by upgrades.

Once that's fixed it shouldn't be nearly as exploitable.

Normally this is a non-issue since enemies stop shooting at decrewed vehicles, but the L-ATV has autonomous turrets so it can solo arbitrarily large raids so long as it doesn't show its butt, and has enough ammo.

I'm not sure if it's this mod, or just a thing with VF and CE, but most of your vehicles are unreasonably tanky.
Centipede blasters run out of ammo before they can kill an unarmored F-150. The body integrity is stuck at 41%, since incoming shots meant for intact parts are blocked by already destroyed parts. In VF a vehicle is destroyed if all its parts have 0% HP, so vehicles just tank damage forever.

It's incredibly difficult to get a vehicle killed. You'd have to intentionally get it flanked.

@GrahammerTek Hello i really really like this mod, but after third playthrough out of nowhere when i built Ford F-150 my colonist won't upgrade it no matter what i do, even all his type of jobs are shut down except builder, yet he won't upgrade, i even waited for 3 game days, but he changes the paint with no problem. (i play with one colonist only, so i hope this is not the problem)

@fres - Try clicking Regenerate All Regions in the Vehicle Framework's mod settings. This is a fairly common bug with the framework itself, and this usually fixes it.

@GrahammerTek I can't move around in the truck? Whenever I try to, it just says "Ford F-150 Cannot Reach this Area". This is an issue with the other Gtek vehicles. It worked just fine before and I didn't install any new mods so I'm not sure what is causing this issue.

Is there a fix for this?

@UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - They are visible on the truck bed. Damage-wise, they work the same way as regular pawns riding in vehicles.

@Thegraphitecrate - That's likely a problem with Vehicle Framework itself. You can't prioritize upgrades, and pawns set to construction will work on it when they have no other tasks. Might just have a lot of tasks.

im having an issue where i can select the upgrade but after all the materials are placed in the ford my colonists cant build the upgrade nor can i prioritize it with the context menu

I am currently running the M2 with the CLWS and I can pretty much body just about anything. Insects, tribals, outlanders, It takes about 3 or 4 seconds for the megapedes and armored insects but it still pretty much vaporizes them. Don't get me wrong I'm having a blast but the numbers might need to be looked at

@Asterza - Yeah, I'm still torn about how to balance the laser. It absolutely crushes anything lightly armored, but barely does anything at all to heavily armored mechs like Centipedes.

It uses the same stats as the laser minigun from VE laser weapons, but since it's vehicle mounted it suffers none of the drawbacks, other than the expensive ammo. I might end up lowering the damage/penetration, since I only intended for it to be for hordes of tribals and stuff.

the CLWS deletes literally everything lol. A fully upgraded f150 puts my Heavy battle tank to absolute shame

@SophicDragon - Do you have multiple versions of CE installed? I've usually seen that error when people have both the Github version and Steam version of CE installed, which causes Rimworld to get confused and breaks the CE patch files.

I had a user a few days ago with the same problem and that's what fixed it.

Currently having an issue where the turrets don't work, it throws an InvalidCastException at the moment it would fire related to the projectile. The ammo is also being displayed as steel. Issue also affects the Subaru. I use CE and vehicle framework/vanilla vehicles and there's no problem with any of them that I've seen. Any idea what might be causing this?

Yea i tested it further and you are correct however I have seen some implement a fix by using steel as an ammo type

@baconprison - Vehicles in general don't work well with generic/disabled ammo, and I haven't seen a way to fix that.

I've got too many mods to name, but specifically I reconstructed a vehicle from a wreckage and when I tried to drive it the right click just wouldn't do anything.
I lucky-guessed that this mod was the problem and now I can't drive ford.

I've been given clinical depression because the Ford mod breaks all of my vehicles.
