Any fixes for the fleshy weird hands on the MP5 and revolver yet?

Instead of whatever tweaks that this uses you should make it so it just makes all the textures 2k, and all the models have like 4x the polygons

I replaced MP5K(smg1) for PDW and it still appears as MP5K and the v_hands are broken textures

Is the manual installation required or just an alternative method?

for any others, i fixed it by unsubbing and deleting all the files in the folder

That's very odd, it's usually the other way around for me. The custom folder takes priority for scripts and ttf files since it is scanned whenever the game boots. Still, if it works it works so that's good.

Just to make sure, however, try checking gameinfo.txt in the hl2 folder and make sure you have this line somewhere at the beginning of the file, just right after the curly brackets.

game+mod hl2/custom/*

I think I found out. The only way your hud works is if I just keep it subscribed. For some reason, custom folder isn't working well.

@Lockit It you have it installed in your C: drive, it should be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2

You can also right click HL2 in your library page, manage, browse local files. And it should take you to where Half-Life 2 is installed aka the main HL2 directory.

Yeah that's very weird. Sure thing, I'd be happy to help out, but I am not really sure what is causing it either. Do you have this issue with other mod that add their own icons, such as, the Dark Interval OICW?

Look I need your help. I really want to play beta aesthetics, but ever since 25th anniversary update came out, the hud update broke all hud mods. It’s really frustrating for me and those who have that same problem. What I believe causes this problem is the settings of the game. I want to know what video settings you have that makes your mod work for you.
Blueprint_Guy 4 Feb @ 1:08am
The only mods I have enabled is yours on top of beta aesthetics mod ultimate. Yeah even without beta aesthetics, your other hud tweaks also have the same problem for me, even in entropy: zero 2.
Blueprint_Guy 4 Feb @ 1:07am
@2.5 Bobux, yeah well guess what… I had all my mods disabled right from the beginning. No the mod overwrite isn’t the case for me.
Lockit 3 Feb @ 11:58pm
what is the half life 2 directory and how i get to it?
monke/8787 3 Feb @ 7:02pm
its dark and griddy

Hi, this happens when another mod overwrites the icons from this mod. To fix this, you need to have the mod unpacked into the custom folder, like in step 1 of the installation. If you have already done this, try renaming the mod folder to start with a number so that the icons take priority over the other mods you have here. Also, make sure that you set this mod high up your load order as well the prevent other steam workshop mods from overwriting the icons.
Hope this helps.

@gpskeleton, how? cause the hud works fine, but I would say icons otherwise. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING! https://imgur.com/a/0v9nFdr

oh yeah fixed it, sorry for being a bit of a prick

Also, you need to follow through with the installation. Simply subscribing won't make the mod work properly.

If you did any file replacements, you can always restore the original HUD with the files provided in the Backup folder for the mod. Otherwise, unsubscribing and deleting the mod from your custom folder will restore everything back to normal.

broke my hud, cannot fix it back to normal:steamthumbsdown:
Some dumbass 31 Jan @ 4:35am
Nah, i'd skip the installation
