Report a translation problem
The reason you can't drop an object is because there is no empty space under the chute. To solve this, you need to mine. This is a patch to solve this problem. A chute is a device for disposing of unnecessary trash or organizing prisoners. It works the same as a repository.

I understand your difficulties. So I updated the mode with an explanation photo. If you install it roughly where you want to drop it and press MINE, you can check it with a blueprint downstairs. Of course, it pops up as a mining blueprint.

I made it before the multi-floor mode was released, but could not release it for personal reasons. And the multi floor mode was created a little neater. So, we are porting the previously created functions to multi floor mode.
The lift will be released in single mode at a later date. Additionally, several modes such as elevators and storage towers will be added slowly.
Does it work more reliably than setting a policy on the stairs? I've noticed that the latter sometimes leaves items in limbo forever, and even as intended it can take several seconds for them to appear.
Finally, if my understanding is correct, would you consider a powered upward-moving version, basically a conveyor lift? My most common pattern is to have mines and indoor farms underground and want to deliver their products without sending a pawn. I use Misc Robots haulers with "don't leave this level" set and it does work but PRF drones try to haul up or down the stairs and despawn after delivery because they have no "don't leave this level" gizmo.
