You also need to make sure you are running ver. 141953 of WARNO you can select that previous build from the settings menu under BETA and enabling the game to run other builds from WARNO

You can check the lower left-hand corner of the screen after you reach the game start screen. If it shows a mod loaded like FULDA_GAP_1989 the the mod is loaded.

Might seem like a dumb question but never played mod before on this game, and can't tell if the mod is in affect after selecting it in the mod menu

So I was stationed in Bad Hersfeld from 88-91. I was in Mco. (Maulers) 3/11ACR. Hersfeld had there own engineers an entire company of them 58th (Red Devils). Eugen's game lacks historical unit makeup, the MTO&E is incorrect im glad your working on a fix. Yes we were always told that we were nothing but a speedbump on the autobhan if the red horde came across the border.. but damn, this game that Eugen created is NOT by a longshot historically correct!

There are also new versions of existing aircraft included as newly added units, these include cluster, and smart bomb payloads for the A10 Thunderbolt II.

Yes I am working to correct those Issues related to aircraft visual detection ranges, I am currently reworking all aircraft payloads as well.

Also: some planes with extra range don't launch their missiles until they are normal game range.

Yes I am constantly updating the mod and adding new units, updating the unit stats, and correcting the divisional TO&E's.

I noticed the Abrams has more range in army general, while the pact tanks dont have any noticable difference.

This mod is still work in progress right ?

I like the concept you are working on. I really like historically and technically accurate divisions. I only play co-op AG so multi-player balance doesn't matter for me, accuracy is more important.

I am currently overhauling the WARSAW PACT forces to have accurate TO&E's.
the Fulda GAP 1989 simulation conversion offers a very tactical gaming experience to WARNO.
Special platoon HQ units are currently under development, as well as accurate aircraft
weapon loadouts which will be released this week.

Ahh me as a tanker in Bad Hersfeld in 1988-92 (closed down due to reunification & after 91 gulf war, we had no real mission after this) I was in Mco. M23 was my tank. I greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication you've put into this MOD.:steamthumbsup:

There are quite a few development articles posted as part of The Fulda Gap 1989: The Battle for the Center is a simulation conversion modification project posted on Reddit, if you want to see an actual in-game video I recommend you check out the YouTube content about the mod. Just visit the development blog which discusses more of the changes to the AG and single-player operations by clicking the links to navigate there.

The Fulda Gap 1989: The Battle for the Center is a stand-alone simulation mod. No other mod is required to play this mod. Furthermore, the mod will work in either single-player operations, campaigns, or multi-player mode.

you can see the game changes to single player game modes such as operations and the campaign general, multi-player starting resources, ad income rate values have also been modified, that is in addition to the unit statistical changes, such as vision, movement and weapon ranges, and squad compositions.
