for some reason i sadly cannot give them the "Scourge of God" Modifier :(

OK, I updated it and fixed it. It does have requirements now, the target needs to be at least king-tier and independent, and Conquerors must be enabled in the Game Rules.

Sadly, I am also experiencing the issue that the trait is not working as it should. I am using a handful of mods, the main of which is After The End 2, and the ai I chose to be a Conqueror has done zero conquering for 5 years. They are just building up money I guess.

I should add that it's not a perfect fix, the event doesn't trigger if the target isn't independent, and the event to remove the trait triggers almost instantly when you make a count a conqueror.

Same thing was happening to me, and it also happens to characters who start with the trait such as the Chola Duke in 867. I've fixed it by changing how they get the trait, so instead of adding it I trigger the event the game uses to create conquerors (so I replaced 'add_trait = conqueror ' with 'trigger_event = conqueror.0001'. I also replaced the removal of the trait with 'trigger_event = conqueror.0002', just for consistency's sake).

It is already limited to non-player characters. I do have an issue though, which is that in my game the characters I give the Conqueror trait are not as proactive as they should be. Anyone else having the same issue?

IMO, this should only be allowed to be characters that are NOT you and NOT your dynasty. That would function as balance to some degree.
