On the rim you don't eat rats, the manhunting rat swarm eats you. Or a turtle hoard at which point if it's more then 10 good luck, you'll need it
so umm odd question but can we feed rats maggots or zombies... maybe just stock em in a farm pile block to gen protein for rattie's and clucks. (yes the intrusive thoughts are currently winning)
They're for eating
I'm the giant rat that makes aaaall of the ruuules!

Read description.
When you kill a rat or mouse NPC in B42, you can skin the body and eat it.
This mod does so the skinned vermin corpse can be added *like* small rodent meat.
It doesn't turn them into small rodent meat, just allows you to use them the same way, so in pretty much all cooking recipes, and removing unhappiness from them when cooked.
thank you for your efforts!
You're thinking of a joke mod where Stuart Little was actually in the game and you could roll him up into a cigarette and smoke him.
Just don't ask where the meat comes from...
What do you mean?
You see any cows around here?
Hey, que es este carne?
Este carne es de rata :)
(No salt TacoBell.. the future is Hell.)
ZEUS!!!
YOU WILL NOT DENY ME MY RIGHT TO EAT RATS!
You can't stop me!! (hungry Nosferatu noises)
Thank you so much Mr. Sax President!
It means a lot to me :)
Dayman!
Fighter of the nightman!
Oh yeah, me too.
I immediately went to work on this mod, and I'm so happy that the mod has already found the right audience.
I hope you enjoy :)
No, unhappiness is removed after cooking the skinned rat.
Fish also work like this in the game.
I completely agree that unhappiness should decrease depending on how long has passed since the apocalypse started, but that system just isn't in place yet.
I mean... it's natural for the unhappiness level to rise due to the aversion, as most people wouldn’t have experience consuming rat food. However, I think it might be reasonable if the unhappiness decreases gradually with long-term consumption.
