@SilkCircuit
Awesome mod, I've been using it since release earlier this year, so thank you!

Now, a quick suggestion, to make low tech medieval research and items too!
Perhaps something like:
Walking stick, Sturdy leather boots, travelling backpack.

Would be nice to be able to use this mod in medieval playthroughs too.

@SilkCircuit
A suggestion: a saddles and/or horseshoes for animals in caravans and some navigational tools for vehicle ones could be nice additions to this mod, though obviously not necessary. Thank You for the mod.

@smerchOo
Yes, but funnily enough animals count as pawns for the number of items from this mod (unless it's incompatibility of mods on my part).
I know that's not intended - @SilkCircuit already mentioned it is not supposed to work with animal caravans - but it is funny to think about both a human and a horse using boots, hiking poles and walkie talkies during travel xD
smerchOo 10 May @ 10:11pm
If there are riding animals in the caravan, do these items work?
「月」 4 May @ 10:30pm
@Mousierockstar , doesn't seem like it. Added it and none of the things are showing up :(
Mousierockstar 27 Apr @ 6:44am
Does anybody know if this is save game compatible?
Rykhath 27 Apr @ 1:00am
TweaksGalore is your friend, you can change tech levels for techs.

Echoing what the others said with hopes that you'll consider shifting the hiking poles and boots to Medieval and/or below. Also grabbed this for my medieval run and realized I can't make any of the items, sadly. Hope you consider the request!
EM7HydraFox 14 Apr @ 11:25pm
Might be a dumb question but how do you equip these items? There's no option whatsoever with them when I form/reform a caravan, might be a mod conflict or something else but I don't know
余乐 22 Mar @ 5:10am
I want the movement speed of the powns to affect this value as well
Marshmallow 20 Mar @ 10:01pm
Any chance you could distribute the upgrades across the 'tech' tree? Hiking Poles (Walking Stick) in Neolithic, Boots in Medieval, and Walkie-Talkie in Industrial?
Captain_Tess 27 Feb @ 5:01am
I don't understand why the hiking poles and boots are industrial, added this mod for my medieval run and was confused when I could not make anything. Other than that great mod.
thesoupiest 16 Feb @ 1:16am
Dwang is correct. Great mod tho
Dwang Zhongson 13 Feb @ 6:20am
Having walkie-talkies and boots be crafted in a smithy is quite strange. IMO boots should be crafted on tailor benches and walkie-talkies on machining table, to make sense and retain consistency with other mods, e.g. Vanilla Apparel Expanded. I also think that the provided boost should depend on terrain type, providing diminishing returns the better the terrain is.

In any other regard a very solid mod fitting vanilla seamlessly, good job.

pues te quedo genial amigo, mucha suerte, si haces mas mods los probare con todo el gusto del mundo, suerteee
SilkCircuit  [author] 4 Feb @ 7:07pm
@Persia: That’s a solid take—tying Walkie Talkies to a working Comms Console makes a lot of thematic and functional sense. Definitely something to consider for a future update. Appreciate the input.

@Mangou: Glad you're finding the mod useful without it feeling intrusive—that’s exactly the balance I was aiming for.
✯ Mangou 4 Feb @ 4:01pm
este es de los mods mas utiles y poco invasivos, puro Q&L
Persia 4 Feb @ 10:30am
I think thematically Walkie Talkis should need a working Comms Console at Home to work
SilkCircuit  [author] 2 Feb @ 6:55pm
@Rusty Engi – It is no issue to add this mod to an already started save. However, like any mod, removing it mid-playthrough could potentially cause unintended issues or consequences.
Rusty Engi 1 Feb @ 2:51am
Now this seems like a very nice mod to use, but is it safe to add to a already started save?
crafty1983 31 Jan @ 10:40am
Makes sense and still worth it using the equipment.
SilkCircuit  [author] 31 Jan @ 9:41am
@crafty1983 @ivanmrzv91 - No, you do not receive any of the caravan speed upgrades when there is a rideable animal in the caravan. Only caravans consisting solely of humanlikes receive the upgrades.

@Garr Incorporated - Portable radios keep your pawns from wandering off and getting separated from the group, improve communication and coordination, reduce unnecessary stops, and allow for more efficient navigation. Less “Where the hell is Dave?”—more “Dave, get your ass back here before the raiders make you into a hat.”
Tleno 31 Jan @ 9:37am
Any chance of endgame exosuits for an even bigger bonus, in exchange for forfeiting armor?
Garr Incorporated 31 Jan @ 4:39am
How does having a radio with everyone makes the caravan walk faster?
ivanmrzv91 31 Jan @ 4:34am
Do bonuses apply if i have animals in caravan or it has to be a humanlike only caravan?
Filthepil 30 Jan @ 7:18pm
@Нубас Well equipped hikers moving faster through rough un-civilized terrain than a car? That seems reasonable tbh
Нубас 30 Jan @ 6:00am
This mod seems cool, a more basic solution for caravan speed that doesn't require you to build cars and stuff, which are often really janky. Though pawns with some hiking gear moving faster than a car is so fucking funny to me
crafty1983 29 Jan @ 3:17pm
Does it work with animal caravans using Giddy up and go?
SilkCircuit  [author] 29 Jan @ 12:13pm
@Mr. Wonderful - Thanks for the quick reply. I tested Vanilla Vehicles Expanded and found no conflicts. Vehicle caravans did not receive any speed upgrades when carrying caravan speed upgrade gear, while non-vehicle caravans still did.
Mr. Wonderful 29 Jan @ 11:26am
@SilkCircuit - I'd look at "Vanilla Vehicles Expanded", since that's probably the most popular vehicle mod out there. If the speed boosts from this mod affect the (already faster) vehicles the result might be a bit much. Could be fun, though?
M0rr1s0n 29 Jan @ 11:17am
Sometimes there is a mod release where I think "Why hasn't noone thought about this before?"
This is one of them!

Now making or adding items to make it progress from Tribal -> Industrial and this is MOTY :8bitheart:
SilkCircuit  [author] 29 Jan @ 10:46am
@Mr. Wonderful - I'll test some vehicle caravan mods and get back to you. Do you have any in mind that would be worth testing?

@Zigzyena - Thanks for the feedback. I went back and forth on whether pawns should equip the caravan gear for the speed upgrades, but mathing the gear totals between pawn inventory and caravan inventory wasn’t very user-friendly. So, I’m glad you like just needing to pack the items when forming the caravan.

@Hyou - Thank you. Let me know your thoughts. If you or the community show interest in future updates, tweaks, or additional gear, I'd be open to making updates.
Hyou 29 Jan @ 10:33am
Seems like a nice little add-on!
I'll surely give it a try! Will there be future updates or is it content complete? :D
Zigzyena 29 Jan @ 10:31am
I love that you just need to carry the items to have the speed boost effect. Definitely the kind of mod I use in every playthrough. Great work!
Mr. Wonderful 29 Jan @ 10:31am
Thanks!

I suppose this does not affect vehicle caravans? :o
