Yo howdy! love your mod its awesome as hell! and I enjoy having it EVERY play through!
however ive encountered an error regarding a your mod and another person's mod that causes conflict thought id let ya know!

Nothing game breaking or error throwing - but if your'e using "vanilla duffel bag tweaks B42" with your mod "Skill book courier" the duffel bag that spawns on the zombie,. will not be able to be equipped as a secondary bag and only on your back through the vanilla duffel bag tweaks.
-
basically making it a one time use to find for books and then dropping since I can't wear it as a secondary xD

If you created the world before enabling this mod *and* turned respawn off, the new zombie type will most likely only appear in unvisited areas.
shazmon+375 24 Jun @ 12:14pm
sorry, i meant in existing world
GanydeBielovzki  [author] 24 Jun @ 12:06pm
@shazmon+375 sure. Couriers are not extremely rare and a few are almost guaranteed to spawn upon world creation.
shazmon+375 24 Jun @ 9:31am
if i turned off new zombies spawn, can i find this new type?

@Silentghost well they do. It’s just they got lost and wandered off. They’re not very smart so you’ll need to find them instead.
Silentghost 3 Jun @ 2:29pm
When i first saw this mod i imagined a zombie courier turns up at your door by request with the needed books...
BrasileirinhoPe 23 May @ 3:32am
3k kills and never see one
Gran Trasero 27 Apr @ 3:24am
This would be a good generalized type of zombie. "Santas" laden with "presents."

Such as looters that never got to enjoy their hauls from stores of all types.

Maybe some with more useless things like money, jewelry, etc. Others having canned goods, electronics, convenience store loot, and other useful things.

I mean to be blunt this courier is essentially very similar to a reanimated player that was lost in the process of carrying too much.

Indie stone should take a look at this tbh. :praisesun:
GanydeBielovzki  [author] 24 Mar @ 3:39pm
@poopsock hey thanks. rn they do wear all white shirt and pants, tie and a little blue hat. I’ll see about putting together a uniform or something.
poopsock 24 Mar @ 10:42am
this is a really good mod, its immersive, and it realistically makes sense. I do think you should make a custom uniform though, maybe one like the mail man from the 50s or the modern ones of today. I think the zombies need to be distinct and easily spottable in hordes, kinda like how cop zombies or robbers with the military backpack are easily recognized.
KWG 16 Mar @ 9:57pm
In b42 there is a mail satchel, I think the courier should be wearing it instead. Nice mod!
GanydeBielovzki  [author] 7 Mar @ 9:50am
Alright, I’ll have a look.
Scroobles McDoodle 6 Mar @ 5:43pm
I think the only thing that would need changing across versions is the removal of the new skill books. Aside from that, it should port across pretty easily
GanydeBielovzki  [author] 6 Mar @ 10:24am
@Scroobles McDoodle I can look into this. No promises though, since I can’t test for B41.
Scroobles McDoodle 6 Mar @ 5:15am
Hey hey. Mind doing a 41 version for this? I'd like to use it on my MP server
Quilava 17 Feb @ 8:58pm
I need this, i just cant stand the bull crap of loot neft in B42, how the hell bookstore only have few book? First thing ppl loot in zombie apocalypse is book, such genius of a population :steamfacepalm:
GanydeBielovzki  [author] 14 Feb @ 5:49pm
@Bobitec hey thanks. I thought about duffel bag mod and I’ve decided against it. The reason being that if I were to make a compatibility option, it would require me to fork over part of that mod’s code, 3D model, and scripts. Seeing it’s essentially plagiarism, I will not do that. Now if the creator of the duffel bag mod wish to add compatibility from their end, they can do so easily with my GUIDs and xml files.
Bobitec 14 Feb @ 9:50am
Hello, thank you for your mod.
Just a little demand: Can you add support compatibility for "Vanilla DuffelBag Tweak" mod (it's add an option to carry duffelbags on lower back) it would be realy nice! :steamhappy:
GanydeBielovzki  [author] 13 Feb @ 10:19am
@Dafish no, I’ll consider it once I learn the tech.
Dafish 13 Feb @ 9:36am
does this mod have sandbox setting?
bob 8 Feb @ 11:07am
very good! u deserve my steam points man
GanydeBielovzki  [author] 7 Feb @ 12:30pm
@TheHistoryMidget that’s lunch sorted mate idk why you’d be disappointed /jk

Courier zombies all wear little blue hats, so you’ll know when you run into one again.
TheHistoryMidget 7 Feb @ 12:10pm
Sometimes I am dissapointed when i see zombies with duffel bags only to find them having a pencil or fresh sandwich in it
MashedGamez 5 Feb @ 9:29am
I always just constructed and deconstructed stuff for levels 5 and 6 so I never had to find carp 3 XD
Ducky :D 5 Feb @ 5:55am
So, not only me have a problem with Carpentry 3...
IamM4rty 4 Feb @ 12:01pm
GanydeBielovzki Interesting! I still like this mod, because of variety sakes, but as others have said; I've experienced the same. I have a couple of backpacks as we speak in my car, each one containing 2-3 food (canned or drinks), 1-3 magazines and 3-6 books, plus some random stuff like a diary, tools and random things.

Now, I must admit that I have done a bunch of tweaking to my settings, so I'm really not sure what the cause is of this. But the zombies I'm talking about are not the random ones with a backpack, they are always in a larger group and almost always have a single piece of magazine armor and wear a bunch more.
Josko 4 Feb @ 11:01am
When I find these survivor zombies, even after more than a year they have alot of skillbooks and recipe magazines. Easily the best way to find skillbooks and recipe magazines now!
GanydeBielovzki  [author] 4 Feb @ 10:33am
I looked into the code, vanilla survivalist bags have 2 rolls (3 for late game) for more than 200 items. Admittedly books and magazines have higher chances to spawn but they are still part of a massive loot pool. The zombie defined in this mod is guaranteed to have 6 rolls for books and magazines exclusively, which makes it distinct enough imo.
Josko 4 Feb @ 5:55am
There is already zombies like this in vanilla. If you encounter 20+ zombies on small roads, they usually have one survivor zombie with a backpack that has skillbooks and magazines on them aswell as some other stuff!
IamM4rty 2 Feb @ 11:47am
As Nepenthe commented: There are indeed quite some zombies with skill books. I suspect it's one of the story settings, that if you turn it up they are around more. But usually in one of the larger groups, there is one with a backpack (and some magazine armor). If you loot its bag, its filled with skill books.

Besides that, it's great this mod exists! I love to see more different Z's.
rawgu 31 Jan @ 11:28pm
this is such a great idea
otvinovskyi 31 Jan @ 6:24pm
In my opinion, this is really cool, awesome!
Nepenthe 31 Jan @ 4:21pm
For anyone that doesn't know: the vanilla Survivor zombies already have a high chance for skillbooks. I'm still going to install this mod because it's so frustrating being stuck unable to find a particular skillbook/recipe, and this will give me another typo of backpack-wearing zombie that I abandon all plans and fight off an entire horde to kill whenever I spot them.

Besides, if the books I want are missing from all the libraries and shops then someone has to walking around with them!
