Also, soon(ish) I might be releasing a beta for my own Minor Factions Unit Roster Mod. Achilles faction has a couple of Myrmidon units balanced around Vanilla stats. Might be worth checking that out when I release that.
Going to release a few unit rosters to Beta to check engagement, and if it is something people want before finishing the mod. There are about 280 units planned so need to know if it is worth my time.
From my testing my Achilles Vs Hector mod can work with the Troy Historical Unit Pack by placing my mod lower down in the Load Order.
Understand what you mean about the difference in stats but as my mod is based on Vanilla, I made the Achilles unit from the stats of Paragon Swordsmen (which are "new" version of Myrmidons)
I did this thoroughly, looking at what the stat difference is between the other bodyguard units (i.e. if the sword is the baseline, axe get +X attack and spear get -X) and applied this to the stats of the Paragon Swordsmen to get the Achilles version.
My Achilles has Cause Fear, Powerful Strikes and Self-Sufficient as well as Strong Vigour, Flanking Attack Improved, Aegean Bronzework, Masterful Blows, Immune to Psychology and the Underdog abilities from Paragon Swordsmen.
Not sure I want to change the stats further than that, once you have levelled up and found better equipment he can be very powerful and is able to beat any unit in the game 1 on 1.
Thanks very much more stuff is coming soon! My approach is very much is to keep the vanilla style.
Do you have any suggestions for unit fixes or changes?
