No worries, I actually found a different mod that will do this for me. I haven't looked into the devkit myself yet but there are a LOT of vague definitions in the game. I haven't played this in maybe 4 years and was lost when I came back.

Here are some of my thoughts on adding better clarity.

Add information to the knowledge screen so you know what you're getting like for. Weapons and armor

Better definitions on what each food/potion does in the inventory item and the craft screen at the cooking station. Like explaining durable or healing effects.

Adding onto above better definitions on the bonuses of each crafting station. Iirc there are 3 possible bonuses? One increases speed of crafts, one for reduced fuel cost (burning coal/wood etc) and one reduces material costs. So when listing these bonuses list all possible bonuses and list as a 0% so that it's clear what you are and aren't getting.

Thanks for the reply, I removed all mods except this then loaded it up and realized that it had been working the whole time. I just thought this did something it didn't or rather had wishful thinking lol. What I see in game matches up with your screenshots but for some reason I thought this also clarified descriptions for items crafted in the armorer workbench and blacksmith so you can tell if a piece of armor is agility based for example.

@Tenoz I would try to run the mod by itself, then slowly add in the others till it makes it fail. Getting information on which mod is causing conflicts can help others as well. I can add a list of mods that don't work with this one if I know more.

Yeah it was Gportal having problems with updating. it deleted the file but never grabbed the new one,. place it in manually fixed it

This version shows as 0.1.42 in game but works for the new patch unlike the previous 0.1.42.

Confusing and annoying, I know. Shit happens.

yeah it does When i craftet them i can see it without problem but when i look at them at the workstation its cut off...i dont know its only by me but i dont see it there and only by weapons and shields...i play with german language if that helps

well the server i play on i cant get on cus its says wrong update of mod and dont know how to get hold of owner to sort it out

Hey guys, the mod does work. It's been tested multiple times with people multiple people and servers over the course of the last few days. If it does not work for you then here are some possible issues:

-Not every item has a new desc. Check the above list of items that have a new desc.
-Other mods can easily conflict with this mod if they aren't coded right. Mods that change stats for things like weapons could easily overwrite my descriptions unintentionally. Try and see if just the mod works by itself before reporting it doesn't work.
-Steam hasn't properly updated your mod to 0.1.43.
-The server could have the wrong version.

@Gavener Thanks for the shoutouts! Food items have been planned since the start, I just haven't gotten around to them yet. As a new modder it's a bit difficult to track down what all the numerical values for the buffs are. There have also been changes to food recently so its probably a good thing I waited anyway.

@Sorokozherdiev At the moment only english is supported. If I can figure out how to make it change based on the language used in game, localization could be added for other languages given sufficient community contributions.

0.1.43 Update
Hey everyone, I apologize for the delay. I did not expect the game to release an update that broke existing mods. The mod needed to be recompiled. It is now fixed.

To get the updated mod manually (in case steam takes a while to send it to you), unsubscribe from the mod, and then resubscribe and restart steam completely. Ensure that the mod order has the mod at the top and is updated to 0.1.43.

@Smug All mod IDs are in the URL of the page you are seeing it on. When you subscribe to it, it will also be in steam workshop folder with the same ID.

Does not seem to work. None of the mods i'm using seem to work actually. Yes, I have selected them on the Mods tab in the launcher.
yeah i agree, i imagine in my mand spearated like the original description and modifier descriptions are, but it sure seems like a great idea to leave it in the more info tab! ty for the answer and again, great mod! :praisesun:

I hear you on that, and its actually what I would have done originally if it weren't for the fact that when the "short descriptions" are too long, they go past a visible point with no scroll option. So yeah, that was kinda the issue. However, this is why I moved the base descriptions to the "long description" on the "more info" tab. Its just so when you start spending knowledge points or start building things with the build hammer it tells you truly what your options are.
I do like how it looks, it is definately an improvement, but i would find myself missing some descriptions of items, they sure are not specific at all but, stats and descriptions should not be mutualy exclusvie imo, i just see myself playing... immersed in the game and reading TIER 3 forge but nothing else kind of breaks said immersion for me and i think it would render the game a bit into a souless bunch of stats, no offense i think a balance between both would be great! =)

After 6000 hrs in game I still have look stuff up and/or don't use things because I'm not sure what EXACTLY they do. You are taking a faux UI that currently behaves like a military censor redacting virtually all relevant info and are actually turning it into a meaningful UI....kudos. A lot of work for you, thanks so much and .....keep going! :)
