@mikeypollard you can check your keybindings - the controls are bound to "Buildoption 7" and "Buildoption 8" - maybe that helps

@nightfury34 I tried using the tilting keys but no matter what I try it is only selecting one of the signals and i'm not sure how to fix it.

@mikeypollard make sure the linking marker (white blob) is slecting the right signal when placing the asset. You can change which signal is selected by using the same keys used for tilting assets

@mikeypollard - that’s something likely down to the better signals code behind the scenes. @nightfury34 any ideas or just make sure there is enough space between signals?

Hey, great mod but I found a problem that when you try and place 2 of the signals next to each other the assets snap to the wrong signal and doesn't work properly with both signals clearing for one line and no signals clearing for the other.

I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for this mod, it brings so much more realism to the signalling system, the line-side and the gantry options add so much to the game. Keep up developing this.

Also made some further tweaks over the weekend (copying, tweaking, and renaming a couple of files) but got the 4 aspect working!

This clip shows the lights changing as the train path reserves the sections ahead :

Also the 3-aspect signal does not turn green even with this fix. I haven’t currently coded it to do that.

@scotchbob - I went through the files and I know where the bug is for the green light!
The reference for the lights is using is_following_green but you set the status in isFollowingGreen.

I made an edit locally and got it working by updating the references to isFollowingGreen.
Hope that helps!

Lastly (and a but future state) I looked at the L-Type signal mod and looked at how they linked signals together - I modified their script into yours so that it could in theory support double yellows.

Don't know if I'm just being an idiot, but I can't seem to get the Better Signals mod to work, I've unzipped the file and gotten the new folder out of the zip folder. I don't know if I'm just not doing it right but if you could help with this that'd be greatly appreciated as I'd imagine this will be a really great mod if I can get it to work.

@Closet_Hunter - currently the 3-aspect signal will only show yellow and red. I haven’t figured out yet how to do proper block signals using the code. When I have more time I may include animations for the 3-aspect to introduce green aspect too.

@mongolteiko - you will know then alright. So in the top left diagram I need to swap routes 1 and 3 and on the right 4 and 6. That right?

The number positions on your top right in the diagram are correct, but the destinations [top left of your diagram] are wrong. I was a train driver in the UK.
That site diagrams are not the same as what we use in the UK, is not very clear and I would not use it. You are best getting the Rule Book from the RSSB site.

@mongolkeiko - thanks for the comments. Based on what I have read about the feathers the positions are correct. For example https://www.railsigns.uk/sect6page4.html . However if you wish to alter how it works just change the route= number to your liking.

I was surprised when I read the explanation!
At first I thought it was just a traffic light, but to think that it could be made to light up using an invisible traffic light. I never would have thought of that.

High. Nice mod.
Just one problem though, the route 4 and 6 junction indicators are wrong on the diagram [2nd pic]. The position 4 goes to the 6 [in your diagram and the position 6 goes to the 4 [your diagram].
Also the position 1 goes to the 3 and 3 to the 1.

In other words if fans out with the lower numbers nearest the main track straight ahead.
For real life signals that is.
