The escape map makes zero sense. Where are the beacons ? "In the towers" -- WHAT TOWERS ?
I don't mind multiple paths to the endpoints, but I need to have a decent idea of which direction I'm supposed to go in.

I've not come across a custom map that isn't janky yet, and this is no exception. Stuck between a barrel and a ramp, with my only way out is walking backwards to fall to my death? Come on bruh.

The escape map is really nice to play. Resources are adequate, even on highest difficulty, and you can plan your way around each part, even the final part. Exploring really rewards you with items and weapons, which can help a lot in dealing with the hard parts.

The survival map, on the other hand, is not particularly something I really enjoyed, mainly because.... it feels weird to play a limited resources survival. Granted, you do have enough resources to deal with the waves (even on Extreme), but I am more used to playing survival where ammo are considered to be pretty "infinite" in a way.

Due to the map being really small, you will be looping around a lot, which allows you to be ambush sometimes by spitters or runners starting their attack animation even before you can see them, and when you do, its just cheap damage that you can't really avoid, which is not the map creator fault, but more on the AI behavior. I do appreciate the map being constantly updated though.

@DAWFITO es raro eso, esto pasaba con una actualización que hice que tenia ese error, pero ya lo solucione, capaz que Steam no te descargo la ultima versión del MOD y por eso pasa

La forma mas fácil de hacer que steam descargue la versión mas actualizada es volver a subscribirse

@Dysz Should be loading fine now, its loading for me without having that other test map in the Mods folder

Cant have a Mod without it breaking at some point hehehe

@Dysz I found out what it is, its a mistake i made and not on your end

Seems its referencing a Map i have for testing purposes on one of the assets, because you dont have it, it causes a crash, on my setup it works because it just finds it there.

I'll fix it now and upload asap a working version

I have tried other maps without any problems, only this map shows an error when loading after updating. The prompt is a ‘fatal error’ .

Would it be weird that I find these modded maps more enjoyable than the actual official maps? Cause again had fun with this one just like the other map you made.

Collision in the two towers were a bit off, but that was the only thing I had an issue with.

Survival mode was very interesting, kept me on my toes for sure. Also can agree with random item spawns so its not predictable where what spawns.

Well done Helm, I love your map. The lighting and atmosphere reflect the harsh cold mountain environment well. The placement of enemies are well paced. and I like how in some areas you think you are lost, so you backtrack, only to find the right path.

I also like the beacons part to open the last door. But I got lost to what door was triggered, I knew there was a bridge so I guessed it had to be the one being lowered. However, I almost went back into another loop because the final bridge was not clear to me that it was the final destination.

I hope you played my "Spy Mission" challenge and give me some feedback maybe.

Thanks! The ruins were originally meant to be the location of the last beacon
It was going to be an arena with a "maze-like" structure, dense fog and zombies showing up everywhere

I wasn't happy with how it was turning out, and I really had no plan or idea of what to do with it. Once I had the towers with zombies walking around them, I left the ruins as decoration.

If i come up with a cool idea or something that works and I'm happy with, I'll add to and expand the map. But for now, nothing comes to mind.

I'm working on a different map. I've been struggling with this one for a while, scrapping and restarting multiple times, but I think I have "something" now.

I really liked these levels design. they werent hard the first snowdread map took a little bit to figure out where to go for me and im not the best at jumps so i fell to my death a few times but its well put together thanks for making it

I tried uploading a layout image with numbered huts, but Steam wouldn’t let me. I think I found the stuck spot near a hut and will fix it.

Ammo balance might be off, so here’s the loot distribution:

Starting loot:

The number next to the gun name means how many bullets it comes loaded with.

Huts open by selecting 6 random ammo drops and 2 utilities. List of possible drops, comma separates hut/wave number:

Ammo Drops
Glock 20,35,35
Revolver 11,13,15
Shotgun 9,11,12
SMG 18,28,30
AR 10,12,25

Utility Drops:
Grenade 1,1,2
Landmine 1,1,2

If the first hut rolls AR ammo 6 times, you get 60 AR rounds.

Just tried the survival map, its pretty neat, though I nearly got stuck on the terrain near one of the huts, took me some considerable wiggling to get out. Not sure I agree with your balance statement though, ammo drops seems way too cut down for hardcore, but maybe I just need more practice on the map. Great job over all, slight terrain problem aside.

This is alot of fun, i love this style of maps with snow darkness and being alone in the middle of nowhere this is great.

Playing this map is making me wish there was an outdoor segment at some point in TKA. It seems like there could be good gameplay in such a place, and honestly the atmosphere is a little spooky.
