Oh I should clarify, the superhuman strength mentioned is for slow shamblers, fast shamblers can be a bit weaker than superhuman and still crash through.
Salty Oreos  [author] 12 Apr @ 6:27pm
@marshmallow justice
The strength check means that it will do a minimum strength check on the zombie, if they are not strong enough for their speed type, they will not trigger the window crash. Meant to be played with randomized speed and strength enabled.

@Salesman by default shamblers will only crash through if superhuman strength I believe, however you can simply toggle them to always crash through via the sandbox settings toggle.
Salesman 11 Apr @ 4:07am
does it work on shamblers:steamthumbsup:
marshmallow justice 8 Apr @ 3:48pm
been playing with it while testing out our day one bandits server, works great !! love the animations
think probably sprinter only makes the most sense at least for us.
what does the toggle strength check mean, is it related to the zombie strength setting in zlore? like if if they are the highest strength they can smash but if weakest (ie. by random zombies) they can't?

Ahh okay, so it's more so this one is an improved Stay Away From Windows + but with all the sandbox options plus great vaulting animations

Whereas Vaulting Zombies lets them vault over fences/the other stuff?

I'll try your mod first for now though, love how it works in its previews and the animations. We mainly want them breaking through the windows like 28 Days Later. If it is likely to conflict with Vaulting Zombies, we'll leave that out for now. Thank you

This mod isn't a replacement for vaulting zombies, not entirely sure if they're compatible since vaulting zombies outright replaces the animation trigger instead of toggling it with a variable.

It is likely to actually be incompatible with "Stay Away From Windows" since they're messing with the same animation.

I've been considering adding sandbox options to do make zombies always vault, and an option to make it so no special animation plays at all and just breaks the window.

So if I use this mod, I don't need to use Stay Away From Windows + Vaulting Zombies? it serves as the same function but with sandbox options? Trying to do a playthrough with the parkour related mods and want to give Zombies some extra threat too.

@xW1CK3DxDANKx
Set minimum speed to 1 in sandbox settings
xW1CK3DxDANKx 5 Mar @ 7:27pm
@saltyoreos is there a way to edit the sandbox options or something to make it to where it's only applied to sprinters? I have my game set up to where zombie Sprint between the hours of 2200 and 600 hours. I want this mod combined with that one that makes the people's head twitch
Salty Oreos  [author] 5 Mar @ 7:57am
What do you mean by break right away though?
Salty Oreos  [author] 5 Mar @ 7:56am
Yeah the strength check is the only thing stopping slow shamblers from smashing windows
Copy cat 5 Mar @ 3:19am
Does turning off toggle strength check break windows all at once?

Can't I activate it like this mode? I want the window to break right away

@Salty Oreos Thanks for your awesome work, I wouldn't be able to verify now if it only works for Sprinters but the last time I tested, it didn't seem to affect the shamblers. Cheers!

Update: Feb 16 @ 7:48am
Added a check to prevent bandits from crashing through windows.
Salty Oreos  [author] 16 Feb @ 3:20am
@PepperCat

I have no idea if this will cause issues with bandits but I wouldn't be surprised since they are technically zombies.

Specialty is its own thing, but you can use the individual ones alongside it if you want a zombie type to always crash through windows regardless of strength. That's why I don't have them marked as incompatible.
PepperCat 15 Feb @ 3:11pm
Hello!! wonderful work!
Just 2 questions, is this mod compatible with Bandits or they will also play this animations? and second, the specialty module, requires the other three to work or it includes the three of them?
Zeitresu 15 Feb @ 10:47am
I'm using the sprinters version and I just wanna say thanks, this is a great mod!
Salty Oreos  [author] 15 Feb @ 9:56am
Now Includes three videos to show the window crashing in action
Salty Oreos  [author] 15 Feb @ 9:35am
Update: Feb 15 @ 11:35am
Optimized code
Changed the random number generator to a better version.
Decreased the chance of "seatbelt" activating on sprinters when crashing through windows
Salty Oreos  [author] 14 Feb @ 10:13pm
Update: Feb 15 @ 12:12am
Fixed the speed type versions not properly checking for speed type
Added in animation triggers with help from Ryuku to further convey that the zombies are crashing through the window instead of just smashing it.
The animation that plays when smashing through a window is based on the zombie's speed and a random number generator.
Salty Oreos  [author] 14 Feb @ 8:36pm
@sucgangclarence93
Uh well it won't outright fix it, but it does make it so they have to be targeting a player so there should be less instances where they are breaking windows that high up.
sucgangclarence93 14 Feb @ 7:41pm
does this also fix the zombies being able to smash windows on 10th floors because whenever they try to crash into windows they cant jump off
Salty Oreos  [author] 14 Feb @ 1:24pm
@StirFriedNoodles hey just wanted to ask, is it working for only sprinters as intended for you?
I've been messing with the code on my end and I'm not sure if I messed up something before release or after release.
Salty Oreos  [author] 13 Feb @ 9:15pm
@StirFriedNoodles
Glad to hear it's working properly.
That animation may either be from Vaulting Zombies by Ham or just custom altogether.
StirFriedNoodles 13 Feb @ 9:06pm
Thanks for clearing that up, now I know the mod's working perfectly fine already!
(They bust through windows already, I just thought the animation was specifically the one in Stay Away From Windows' preview video where it appears the zombie trips over the window.)
Salty Oreos  [author] 13 Feb @ 7:23pm
@StirFriedNoodles unless you mean for build 41 with the mod Random Zombies to sprinkle in sprinters and such. In which case I'm not sure why the sprinters wouldn't be breaking the windows when they target you and touch one.
Salty Oreos  [author] 13 Feb @ 7:14pm
@StirFriedNoodles well it isn't a special animation, it makes it so the selected type (in your case sprinters) will break windows on contact if they are targeting a player.
Random zombies by default won't have sprinters enabled, you have to set them to at least low with random zombies enabled. Otherwise it will just be slow and fast shamblers.
StirFriedNoodles 13 Feb @ 6:50pm
Have this installed (Sprinters Only) with Random Zombies but I haven't seen sprinters do the window dive animation yet in my playthrough and testing... Should it be working or should I be using a different version?
Salty Oreos  [author] 13 Feb @ 5:37pm
Update: Feb 13 @ 7:33pm
Renamed the mod to Zombies Crash Through Windows
Added a check to see if the zombie has a target to prevent every window in towns being smashed without player interaction.
Added versions for each zombie speed type.
Created a specialty version with rewritten code to make it so zombies with enough speed/strength will crash through windows instead of strictly being based on speed.
Salty Oreos  [author] 10 Feb @ 1:49pm
@Mr. Cheese
Well it does the same thing the original mod does, just only to sprinters.
Makes it so when they touch a closed and unbarricaded window, it breaks instantly.
Mr. Cheese 10 Feb @ 12:55pm
what does the mod actually do
Salty Oreos  [author] 8 Feb @ 9:35pm
No, the entire mod is just a few "if" statements.
Kyrox 8 Feb @ 9:28pm
Does this require the original mod?
