@BronzeLump, the Katana is one of the fastest Medium ships. So if the Tessac has been balanced against it, then it will also be very fast.

I do wish it had a top and bottom rather than 2 top turrets. While talking improvements I would like to be able to mount more than 1 missile launcher on it personally. I still love it either way lol.

no, more guns on the underside of the ship are not planned from my side. they don't fit there so easily in terms of size and some graphic adjustments would have to be made to make it look good. but if you want, i can give you the coordinates so that you can attach 2 more guns to the lower side of the ship.

I see... then what you say highlights a peculiarity to me. It means that every other ship has been slowed down in stats of the mod except modded ships, because for medium i can attest that everything else is slower, at least on paper. I will have a hunt to see which mod is conflicting with what. Thank you for the help. Again its a great mod. Any plans on a variant with mirrored under turrets? X is borderline criminal when it cones to firing arch symmetry, but for firepower balance i know you'd prob need to bump up the price of it somewhere.

@BronzeLump Hi. In my game the vanilla Katana has a speed around 650m/s with mk3 terran combat engines. With the Tessak i only reach 643m/s. I didn't change any engines for the Tessak ship. I only reduced the mass of the Tessak from 29,29(Katana) to 26.134(Tessak) and improved the maneuverability. Baldric and Jian have fewer maneuvering thrusters, so i graphically added several of these thrusters to the Tessak corvette and changed the maneuverability stats.

Really, cool, but for some reason, this thing is faster than even most Small ships. I'm using a speed increase mod, which "should" increase every ship, but i don't know why this ship is so heavily effected. Atm i'm getting speeds with an mk3 combat thruster at around 614m/s. The fastest Terran vanilla ship with the mod is around 400~

I really love this ship. Looks so good in my fleet and fills a strike bomber role perfectly.

Any chance you can make a S class fighter in this styling?

As soon as I have tested all the changes, I will upgrade the mod to 7.5. However, the ship can also be used with 7.5 now. Boost changes are in engine macros, so modded ships will have 7.5 boost working as expected, unless they have custom engines (my mod does not use custom engines). All vanilla ship mods that won't get a compatibility update to 7.5 will still work, but will receive a mobility nerf, since thrust values were, on average, lowered

Love the design and fits nicely into my Terran strike group.

I do feel it needs to be tuned though her base speed is too high I would lower by 200m/s personally to place it in line with other corvettes but at the upper end performance wise.

I think this ship is pretty but there's just too much additional Terran stuff to add any more terran stuff to my game.

Many of the more alien factions all need ships, but the Terrans are over represented in the mod space already. Still, I wanted to leave a comment because I think this is a very nice ship and I do want to encourage you to continue buiilding.

Also re: jobs.xml - it's better to add them to ships and shipgroups.xml - if every ship mod adds their ships to ships.xml, games will suffocate under the weight of the added jobs. But adding them to ships/shipgroups allows the AI to build them into its existing jobs.

jobs.xml isn't all that relevant for the AI using ships. It's more crucial to give a new ship entries in ships.xml and shipgroups.xml to add them to the pool for the AI to use.

I think the AI will build the ships, but I haven't made any changes to the jobs.xml. I wanted to have as few conflicts as possible with other mods.
