Wow, really enjoyed that room! Very clever gameplay!

Super fun room. Thanks!

Worked fine for my friend and me in co-op. Host was the only one who could change between the night and day states, while I as the client could change the visual state for myself, but it wouldn't affect the actual map. But nothing that actually hindered the gameplay.

@IntrepidSon Yeah mutiplayer is not working unfortunately due to using the script for detecting the main camera (of the host).
I would be interested in the puzzles you thought where „a bit too much of a stretch“, because the whole idea of my room was to make it „intuitive“.

We enjoyed this game, but there were several areas where the solution was a bit too much of a stretch. Our main issue was that we had a problem with the secondary player (not the host) not being able to switch seasons from the moon statue. I was able to do so successfully every attempt, but the other player it would switch day and night but not hot and cold. In other words, it was always snowing and frozen regardless of whether day or night. It worked perfectly for the host player but never worked correctly for the joining player. We are in the same home so I was able to test using their player and also was unable to get it working.

A very cool escape room, if a bit short; the first I've seen to use day/night perspectives to change features of the room. Like others, I didn't realize that I didn't have to align the sun/moon with the statue. Also, I couldn't figure out how to get the torch out of the water, had to use a hint. Otherwise, it was stimulating and entertaining. Thanks for a job well done!

@Ravn btw, I know you are going to redo your „Fable of the Frog King“ (and since it is unlisted I cannot comment on it), but your room is story wise soooo good. I‘d love to see more rooms going into story telling and adding comedic elements. I always strive for trying to create puzzles around the story itself and nothing artificially (like math puzzles etc). it doesn‘t add value to the room, and the thing that is remembered by the players are the genuine puzzles.

That said, in you room (although there is for instance a math puzzle) it kind of fits, since you entangled them into the story.

so well done :)

@Ravn glad you liked it :) If you like those kinds of puzzles, try out my other room: „Echos of Sand“.

Excellent room! Loved the day/night mechanic. It was gorgeous to look at. The figures were fun to interact with and a great way of placing hints in the environment. Generally really fun and smart puzzles. Not much negative to say, one of my favs from this competition :)

good point with the softlocking.. will think about it thanks

Super cool as always! I overthinked the sun/moon thing and forced myself to align the stone moon with the moon in the sky and then with the sun... but that was not the thing :) Then I managed to lock myself into the iceblock for the first frog with changing back and blocking the view. But other than that everything worked as a charm. You really has a talent for using the mechanics in cool ways!

An excellent room. I really liked the sliding cube puzzles and puzzles involving changing from day to night...
KirbyDee  [author] 16 Feb @ 1:55pm
Call Me Cookie:
You are only able to finish at day, since at night the finish is blocked off by ice
Cookie <3 16 Feb @ 1:45pm
Can there be 2 endings? 1 for the sun and 1 for the moon?
theorbtwo 16 Feb @ 1:19pm
Worked well in single-player for me, and was fun!

Fantastic first submission for the contest, and a great follow up to your last room. Love the new mechanics you came up with, and their implementation. Looking forward to your next one!
KirbyDee  [author] 16 Feb @ 10:18am
Yeah multiplayer might bug out, since I used a lot of scripts.
Smonkey 16 Feb @ 9:07am
Could be an MP issue as I was the host and the other person bugged it out.
KirbyDee  [author] 15 Feb @ 10:57pm
@Smonkey mm sounds like you are on an older build, since I removed the deactivation of the slot. Anyway, just to be 100% sure now, I removed the slow entirely and the Torch is now appearing on its own on the ground . Hopefully that fixes it for you :)
Smonkey 15 Feb @ 5:50pm
Issue, The second torch disappeared when unlocking and grabbing it from the rope.
Dagna 15 Feb @ 3:27pm
Loved mechanics, very good map!
KirbyDee  [author] 15 Feb @ 10:55am
Fixed the issue of the cube sliding. If the boundary is still missed, it will snap back to the edge after a fixed amount of time. Please download the fixed patch :)
KirbyDee  [author] 15 Feb @ 10:45am
thanks for the comments. Seems like the proximity calculation misses the target and thinks it needs to go further. Will fix it
ditzib 15 Feb @ 9:52am
I had the same problem as @alliecarr5694 with the Ice Block, kept sliding off and out of boundary.
Boo! 15 Feb @ 9:47am
Unfortunately the crate at the beginning keeps sliding and goes straight off screen instead of stopping at the boundary of the icy area. Not sure if this is just an issue with me!
KirbyDee  [author] 14 Feb @ 10:29pm
@Aveta Arduinna I think you double clicked, saw that too rarely. need to fix that. thanks
Explo 14 Feb @ 6:44pm
Great map, well done !
Aveta Arduinna 14 Feb @ 2:35pm
Hey when I click to get torch, it disappeared and I had to start all over
