This mod was really treating me well until it moved to workshop and maybe got an update...

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but I kinda like Squad for being a noisy/loud game. I like that the sounds are all so loud and distinguishable from one another in Squad. But at least for me, I feel like the mod in its current version has become a lot quieter, which I'm not a fan of.

I can understand the change, but I'll be going back to the old version for sure. All in all, thank you for your fabulous work. Your mod really made the game shine brighter for me.

Tier One Overhaul Dev said it doesn't touch vanilla sound effects so it's safe. Love both mods ♥♥

@Neon Reaper Mk. VII the mod should be compatible if they don't touch the vanilla sound effects and just adds their own to their own weapons.

Does it work with Tier One Overhaul?

Hi, i think there is a bug where I have to repurchase XM338 LMMG back whenever I disable your mod.

Does everyone in a multiplayer lobby need to download this for it to work? Will they be affected negatively?

didnt notice the flashbang since i never really looked at the throwable selection for militia but i have the 2 9mm types too and its your mod
Defective Soul 8 Mar @ 5:13pm
and for me it changes/allows selection of 2 m882 124gr 9mm for nowereaki weirdly,
And yes it does gives milita an flashbangs...
Mrooshoo 6 Mar @ 12:36pm
for some reason it did for me, i can send you some screenshots
Isaglish  [author] 5 Mar @ 5:58pm
@Mrooshoo No, it doesn't. This mod only edits sound files.
Mrooshoo 5 Mar @ 1:41pm
why does this mod give Nowheraki militia flashbangs?
Isaglish  [author] 2 Mar @ 3:55am
@Sasha013 Yeah, it'll take time especially when you have to test the sound and determine if it fits that weapon or not.

Fantastic mod. So as far as I can tell, the only way to enable these sounds in other community made mods (e.g. Ares, MARSOC etc.) is to edit their sounds library xml, rerouting the paths to your sounds folder? Sound painstakingly long.
Isaglish  [author] 28 Feb @ 7:02pm
@July Joe As long as they don't overwrite the vanilla weapon sounds, it should be compatible.
HELL-SWEEPER 28 Feb @ 5:46am
Is this compatible to Riffle Squad mods?
ZGDX_Chessman 20 Feb @ 5:52am
Oh yes sorry I mean with Project Ares!
Dan Murphy 19 Feb @ 5:21am
Bump what Chessman said though I think he means Project Ares, M4 sounds are vanilla
ZGDX_Chessman 19 Feb @ 2:27am
Is there any way to make this compatible with the Realistic Sounds mod? I don't think it's compatible as you said to Augy, for the time being, it sounds like the weapons still pull the default sound from their counterparts in the base game. Thank you in advance!

You need to enable it.
-Title screen lower right are some buttons
-click mods and select the ones you want enabled
-click below the picture left of the thumbs up to enable
-now you will see a checkmark as indicator that the mod is running
(the game might do a restart)
-enjoy

sorry for the dumb question.. First time subscribing to a "mod".. now that i am subscribed to the MOD, do i have to do anything else? or is it automatically placed now?
Isaglish  [author] 18 Feb @ 5:10am
@Augy Yes, I heard they don't change the vanilla weapon sounds, you should be good.
Augy 17 Feb @ 8:53pm
Is it compatible with project ares?

@Ryudo Kaze Thank you for letting me know, I'll push an update in a few minutes.

Hi Isaglish, hope you're doing well. I'm glad to see that this mod is on the workshop now as well. Really enjoyed it in the early days and now even more.

There is just one thing I've noticed. The sounds are missing their direction. Shooting sounds seem to come from everywhere. The main sound, not just the reverb. That seems to mess with the balance of volume.

Funny thing is, that I know where this comes from. I just happened to edit some reload sounds for a mod for DK2 today and noticed this. As soon as you use sounds with stereo channels, the game can't get point of origin right. I had to swap my encoding to mono for these files, as sad as it is. But that made the sound come from that direction where the point of origin was.

Nontheless: Thanks for your awesome work. Keep it up and have a nice weekend. : 3

I do not notice a change, does this need updated maybe?
晦涩弗里曼 14 Feb @ 6:19am
I've been using this mod (downloaded from Nexus) before v1.0.0 was released, which is the best sound mod I've ever seen.

Best sound mod out there! Thank you so much for the update, and bringing this to Steam. I didn't know how bad i needed it until it was gone.
