Only if the devs implement it. There's no way for the mod to distinguish internal from external. And remember this is just a humble tweak. Anyways it would be totally awesome and I'd love it!

Yes you can. Read the older comments. :) As you plan a path into a forbidden are, it will show a red warning signal. Having forbidden areas visible would reveal the layout and defeat the purpose of the mod. You can delete / rename 2 files if you still want them visible though.

is it possible to configure it to limit the blue cone range like in vanilla? I dont like that that the entire map glows blue when I edit the path

@Tal_Razid: trouble is that having the red Danger Zones visible reveals the layout when hovering over a concealed unit. Good news is you don't need them! As you plan a path, a red warning marker will show when you're entering a Danger Zone. If you still want to enable them, simply search for "Going In Blind Rake5000 Edition.txt" to find the mod folder and then move / rename / delete: \textures\gui_ingame\aoe_killzone.dds and aoe_stun.dds

Is there a simple edit possible that shows Danger Zones (read) again? Its hte only thing that keeps me disabling this everytime i use it again haha

uuuhhh.... I just tried with 0.0 and it hides all of those slightly visible fog areas in pitch black! I'll play a bit with that and if it's good, I might update the mod with this change

hey rake! if you want the outside fog that is on some maps to be black or grey instead of blue, its in fow_common.h on line 42

vec3 fowColor = vec3(0.3, 0.6, 0.8) * lum;

I prefer a nice 0.7 for a grey

I just wanted to say your reshade settings and this tweaked version of GIB that you made go so well together. I don't know if i could go back to vanilla in this aspect, It honestly just looks so good.

@Don J0rm[A]´n´@1N3N good idea, I like it. Don't know how hard it might be to implement. I may or may not try it. After all, you can see the layout of every workshop mission and single mission anyways in the game in the menu.
Personally, I simply don't look at it.

For the moment I'm focusing on video production and just enjoying the game. I just mod what I need for those. ;)

When I am choosing a mission in the campaign map, I can still see the layout of the mission as small picture. When I "go" to the mission, it's then hided.

Is there a possibility to remove that "small picture" when viewing missions, or how would you handle it? I would prefer the mission area to be fully hidden.

Guys, I'd love to help with the Mac compatibility, but I only made tweaks to the original mod. A fix like that can only be done by the brilliant author of the original GIB mod: myeyesaredry (or similar, depending on where you find him). You gotta reach out to him on his Nexus page or the official door kickers discord.

This is awesome, I just wish there was a way to ONLY black out the interiors of buildings. Choose deployment zones and not having any idea what the streets look like is real weird, but I get that the game itself probably doesn't really have a reason to make any distinction between outside/interior so I understand if it's not possible.

After using this mod in Ironman mode, the game experience is elevated. It feels like playing XCOM, where every single move is crucial. You have to bring all sorts of equipment to deal with potential situations. It's challenging but exhilarating.

@Lord DanGr glad you're enjoying it! please remember I'm not the original mod author. this is just a tweaked version. I made this for myself and decided to share it with everyone to enjoy, with the original author's blessing. for changes like these, you'd need to reach out to them.
however, I know #1 is technically impossible to implement by mods, only the game devs would be able to implement that. I'd really really love that though.

Absolutely love your work man! I got 2 sugestions for you:

1) Could you make exterior visible and invisible only interior? Or something like that, because usually I would like to cut the fence around an objective, but because its all black I dont know, there is a fence in the first place - so I must bring all the equipment or just walk stupidly around... There would be usually a reconnaissance before the raid itself, so usually you would know the intel about the exterior terrain around.

2) Maybe an alternative turn on/off feature for seeing grenades radius? It also helps you a lot that you know, the whole room is fully flashed/cleared with grenade. You have no idea in reality.

@Chemical_Reactions ah, I see. Well, I just edited a few parameters of the mod for my edition, the original author would need to look into this. You might want to post a comment on his nexus page and contact him on discord.

@Rake thanks for the suggestion but thats what i originally did before you uploaded this to the workshop and i got the exact same error. I also tried the regular GIB from Nexus and, once again, some sort of shader error so i think it might be a general incompatibility with the mod itself, unfortunately. I know Macs can get weird with some shader stuff cause Reshade also doesn't work, might be a similar issue idk.
