Tried to connect power shaft to the top - it does not work. Tried to put a "vanilla" platform onto it - it does not accept it.

Still learning about mechanics of the game...

Edit: And I have managed to connect shatf from top. You have to put "vanilla" platform on top of it in the first place. It makes a sandwitch.

Thanks - I love this mod and it is in fact the only one I use (because I play on both Mac and Windows) and Harmony doesn't run on Mac :-(

the experimental branch was so stable that I forgot it was experimental :-)

Yeah, the latest experimental is one of those that broke A LOT of mods.
Including the unbreakable Harmony!

I'll fix this when I get around to it. In the mean time, if you want to use mods (not just mine), you're probably better off sticking to stable until people have a chance to update things.

Convenient Large Water Wheel crashes the game with the latest experimental update of today (26 May 2025)

Any chance of adding a bottom power connection too, so we can put this atop a solid power shaft and get the power that way, similar to how the non-solid power shaft works?

This mod doesn't add anything new, it just edits the Ironteeth Large Water Wheel.
Other mods like "Platform over large water wheel" also edit the same entity, so you can't use them both, only one or the other.

i have tryed it and its not work

@ZombieSlayer It updates the Iron Teeth Large Water Wheel, so, that's right, only for Iron Teeth.

So, it doesn't work with Folktails, Water Beavers and Emberpelts.

But if you have another mod that adds it to another faction, like Greedy Builders, it will work for them too.

At least modding lets us make changes like this.

Ah, brilliant - I just discovered this mod, and it is a must have - I suggested this a long time ago to the devs, but that never went anywhere

Actually, you can only have 1 or the other of this mod and that one.

This one does however also let you place the platform there.

OK, figured out the problem. I also have the "Platform over large water wheel" mod. You just need to set the "platform" to load before this mod. All works well now

Just did a verification of files and it's not making any connections to the power network

mmm only connects to the right, it's not making any connections to the left.

Brilliant mod, now wheels don't need an additional row just for connecting to each other! It makes for a less cumbersome aqueduct as well.

That's exactly what I saw!

And in all honesty, it reminded me of my own struggles and complaints about the large water wheel in the past. So now that I mod Timberborn, I decided to do something about it.
