I've been using the collection and i am having a lot more fun single player against AI which is how i like to play, even experiencing the AI defending a lot better and even pushing back on counter attacks, top stuff

My July 2 update was less compatible with pre-July save games than I anticipated. I have reverted to last week's version.
The July update will still be coming through, I'll just wait July 13th to distribute the latest and greatest.
So, either finish any matches by the 13th, or copy the current version of the mod into your mod directory. Thanks! :steamthumbsup:

Update planned for this Saturday (5/24). At a minimum, it will fix the loyalty passive part of the Hive Tyrant's Dominion ability. :steamthumbsup:

I have been also been trying to improve Ai in general for this faction, they remain relatively weak compared to other Worthy. I have considered implementing an entirely different strategy, we will see if I settle on that by this weekend. :steammocking:

Updates to my mods involve changing actions, which will crash old saves. So, unless you are willing to lose your modded save... either finish any game you have with the Worthy Tyranids or back-up the current mod files for your own use!

DagRoth- fantastic! Love that the Worthy gave your group a little challenge. Unit pathing (and map strategy) is outside my mod, but Proxy's default engine is pretty good at setting retreats and pivots. May your struggle be Worthy! :steamhappy:

Bunston - largely the same strategy. There is no in-built randomization within a faction for the game, so the only way would be to create a few different "sub-factions" for each faction. Mechanically different factions but with varying strategies. It's something I have considered, but for now I still have plenty to do just to get one Worthy opponent out of each faction: left are Marines, Chaos, Adeptus, Necrons.
With each faction taking considerable time and effort, that may be a pipe dream. :steamsad:

This time we had a big game: 4 players of varying skill VS 3 impossible. was Very impressed, and so were the other players. (also was a long match)
- unit selection was good
- retreated forces from unfavorable encounters
- Pivoted a lot, and sometimes in very effective ways.
didn't do a good job claiming the remainder of the map, once we engaged it.

I usually run games with myself and 2 AI Imperial guard allies against a bunch of tyranids. This mod combined with your Astra Militarum mod have without exaggeration turned this into an entirely new and much more fun game

Mindrivet, sorry to hear you're having trouble. I play and test Gladius with my mods quite a bit (W-A-A-A-AY more than doublecheck), and I don't run into this violation.

I agree that your description sounds like something thrown when the blackbox requirements for an ability interact with the modded usage, usually when the blackbox action requires a target but the revised version doesn't, or if the revised version does and the blackbox doesn't. During development, I have seen this kinda of error much more often when debug mode is used.

I will look into it, but if it's an interaction between the blackbox and debug mode, that's going be to very tough to find/replicate, and if it's got something to do with interactions with other mods, that's even tougher.

flak88nik, I set the Ai's strategy for units, upgrades, and buildings. By default, the strategy is random, which is to say, not really a strategy at all. Some factions handle this well, some do not ('Nids, for exampe). By default, Ai will waste resources on less-useful units.

I also improve Ai action use. I give the Ai a long timer on the normal actions and give them new actions with the same costs and effects, But, I give the Ai conditions to make it use the actions better.
It's a pretty major overhaul intended to:
1. not affect players using the same faction.
2. use the ext format for modding, which means "plays nicely with other mods".
3. minimize (not eliminate) visual clutter from the Worthy related changes.
4. improve Ai upgrade order, unit choice, and economy.
5. improve Ai action use.

What It does not do "buff" the Ai compared to a player. Hope that helps! :steamhappy:
