Could you make it output which target its looking at? So if target 3 is looked at or selected that it outputs 3 on some composite channel or something like that.

Simply increase the Q value between lines 32 and 48 of the second Lua block.
For example: Q = {100, 0, 0, 100} → Q = {10000, 0, 0, 10000}.

I can give you a hint: on line 166 of the second Lua block, gx, gy, and gz are the target’s GPS coordinates.

Would you be able to make something like this for active & passive sonar? Could it use 2 sonars (1 for active sonar, 1 for passive sonar) so that the passive sonar always keeps targeting?

When active sonar detects a target it actually has a range to target and it displays that target for a certain amount of time... for passive it shows a smaller box (possibly a different/customizable color) for targets that are detected (but obviously it has no distance information).

I cant seem to download this or the microcontroller itself.
I figured it was a me-issue at first but other workshop entries work just fine. I've tried both restarting my game and re-subscribing. Any ideas?

I tried to make something similar, though I used rolling averages. getting the position is quite simple, but I tried to make a target lead prediction and getting velocities right is a nightmare.

I can try, but it’s not a simple task. It might need an additional Lua block. For now, in the second Lua block, you can get the target’s local x, y, and z.
target1 (1~3 local x,y,z, 4 speed), target2 (5~7 local x,y,z, 8 speed) ...

Although this wasn't made for HMD, if you properly adjust the zoom value and the seat's look x and y values, it can be used for HMD. example : https://imgur.com/HgtOV4v
