When Dynasties first released, I thought they got rid of the ambient music because it was playing the electronic rock sooo much. I'm betting that was fixed pretty quickly in their first patch or two because I only had that problem the first maybe 6 times/ first week playing Dynasties.

I'm currently working on one, which aims to get rid of the more electronic/rock & roll-style riffs and other elements. Some of Pharaoh's ambient music is really good, but the battle / action music is really grating to me.

Agreed. The bit in the trailer that features Ramesses had such a great track to it. The vanilla track doesn't capture the same epic, heroic feeling at all.
