@Godzilla That's fair, but I have another question I thought of: would said special duchy buildings be available to all rulers who conquer the land where the building is located at, or do they need to meet specific requirements, liking being apart of a culture, religion, or have a specific title?

@yeetmcgeek I wouldnt know where to even begin to add models on the map. The best your gonna get is just special duchy buildings. once Im far along with this mod, ill circle back and try adding the models

@Godzilla Oh, alright. Another question again: For adding special buildings, would you add it new models to the map itself, or would it something more closer to special duchy buildings, where you just have the buffs themselves, but there wouldn't actually be a model on the map? (also, sorry for the late response)

@yeetmcgeek Yes, I'll probably add unique/generic ones for culture, like an amazon bow or a spartan spear. thats just off of my head as I just finished with the amazons and am working on the Spartans though. once I get events down, ill add them too. Specific characters? ..... Gonna have to give that part more thought.

still thinking about ones for religion.

@Godzilla Thanks. Question again, do you plan to ever add artifacts in the future? Like, either new generic ones for the different culture and faiths, or unique ones obtainable through events and specific characters?

@Godzilla I do have a request about adding another culture, if you don't mind. Could you add the Britons as a culture, either already on the map or being able to revive it? Whenever I play as a Welsh king, I kinda wanted to have a way to be able to revive the culture, and if a player is able to reclaim the area where they ruled in (Wales and parts of England), you could convert to the Briton culture and gain a king title called 'Prydain', and gaining a cool nickname like 'King of the Britons'.

@yeetmcgeek to answer your dates question, I plan on having the cores and characters in the first start date then only cores. I dont like this idea though which is why i never have talked about. I feel like it limits my mod but at the same time it makes sense

@Godzilla Though, I do have other few questions: If you were to do the first option, would the character spawn/be in different start dates? Or no matter the start date, they would just spawn on the map and/or be a bookmark? Also, another thing, do you plan to add special events involving with all of the dead/forgotten cultures, empires, etc.? Like, would there be different court events, general events, family events, stress events, and etc.? I just thought it would be a cool, though likely time-consuming idea.

@Godzilla Yeah, that's fair. It would be kinda be too long if Julius did try to restore the Roman Empire lol. But as for you feeling that you could do better, i suggest that you instead of releasing one option and working back around it eventually, to just keep it on a the back burner while you focus on implementing key things for cultures and religions, with eventually coming back to the idea when you've thought on what you'd like to do with it (just my idea anyway)

@yeetmcgeek I need more time to think of something but Ill have something out for people to enjoy at the very least. i dont want something lazy like just have them appear out of nowhere and attacking, seem lazy and lacking to me. option 3 will probably be the hardest for me.

@yeetmcgeek I'll probably have an option for the player to change to the character if they own or have a neighboring province to the uprising. I want to have it be on a timer like system or something and have the characters try and convert the kingdom that contains the main area of their culture and religion. im not to pleased by all this and might change it. I feel like I could do better but im not sure what to do. I could make a new system to do something with but I want to keep this mod as vanilla like as possible, like if it was a DLC. If anything I will make just upload the first option and eventually work back to this.

@yeetmcgeek Im still planing this part out sadly but this is what Im thinking/working on so far and its actually close to what you have said. I plan on trying to get 1 or 2 characters to spread their beliefs, culture and religion. 3 will be more like a big hidden village taking over a province out of nowhere or something, im still working on it. not sure about using the claims yet. once enough culture and religion have been spread to their ancestors ruled lands, (not all of the land cause if I did something for Rome and Julius, its gonna be a while lol.) options 2&3 (if i include 3) will have uprisings and depending on how many provinces the ai/player let get changed the greater the threat. p.1

@Godzilla And if it is a ascension-type decision, it could so if the player manages to convert enough counties to their religion and culture in a span of a few years, there be something to world event where a pop-up event in which the player gets claims to the lands which the character once ruled/came from (or if it's a bot, the player no matter where they are, have a pop-up where it talks on how the up-and-coming descendant/reincarnation has declare themselves to be the rightful ruler of their old lands, starting their conquest to reclaim what was lost. With this, there could be different reaction to this depending on the culture/religion of the player, as well as a option to be able to switch to the character in question.

@Godzilla Yeah, it kinda does. For the ladder two options, you could have it so when they do appear, they would have a large MAA and special soldiers that would be rallied behind them, both of which would be from their culture. But with this, I have a question about all three options: What way would the famous figures/descendants have to conquer? Would they have pressed/unpressed claims to the lands which they/ancestors ruled in, have a legend seed, or have something akin to the ascension decision mechanic for adventurers, where the AI/player can go around the world (example; being Alexander in southeastern Europe/Middle East), and just like ascension, spread their beliefs, culture and religion?

3rd, in addition to having the 1st and 2nd, is like the second one but for the more mythical/more older culture characters. I'm still debating weather to use reincarnation of an famous figures or be claim to be a descendants of an famous figures. Basically I want 2 to be a possible what if for people to enjoy while 3 is a really open and more flavor-able world.

2 and 3 will have options for the characters to be buffed. (and if I can get the nation making down, make them form the ancient and mythical nations.) I gonna make all 3 options in the game rules just in case people get sick of any of 2 or 3.

@yeetmcgeek its a mix. So far I have 3 options planned.

1st for characters that have the lost cultures to start landless, basically they'll be floating around and be open options for people.

2nd, in addition to having the 1st, Have special characters that claim to be a descendant of famous people (like Cyrus, Julius, Cleopatra, etc etc, might have one for Julius and Cleo.) and these characters would have large and/or special army that will help them conquer duchies.

@Godzilla Question, for when you do plan to add special characters to appear, how would they come about? Would they come as being descendants from ancient kings and queens? Like would there be a person who would claim to be the descendant of Cyrus the Great and try to restore the Achaemenian empire? Or would be something akin to having an famous figure from a forgotten culture back as a reincarnation and try to restore their old culture and empire?

@Plouf the only elephants planned are the Carthaginians. I can move them up list as I am currently doing stuff for the Spartans. If there was another culture that has them and you want them, just let me know.

Do you think you could add the babylonians as a culture kinda like the sumerians? Alongside that, could you also adding a unique culture tradition relating to them, like the Code of Hammurabi, or a tradition relating to how they built the Hanging Gardens of Babylon?

Could you change the phenotype for the Scythians to match the Greek and Chinese descriptions of them: tall, pale, fair eyes and red and blonde hair?
Also do they and other steppe peoples have the nomadic government of the new DLC?

I had a total derp, I haven't played this in a few years and forgot just about everything and didn't realize Ancient Egyptian is in the game. I was asking because I wanted to play maybe the descendant of Akhenaten and Nefertiti (who reformed their religion, though his work was undone after his death and they tried to delete the records of his existence, his era was the one where Egyptians painted things that looked "real" instead of their usual style) or even a returning from slumber Menes (or a secret dynasty) who Kushite priests knew of and kept hidden, and now want to reclaim power, and restore Pharaoh, knowing they might never have another chance.

@Professor Hardknocks, Ancient Egyptian is already in the game but I can whip up something that Cleopatra would probably be. a Macedonian mixed with ancient Egyptian like culture. Forming the Ancient Egypt nation is gonna take a while as I do not know what I am doing but I will get it done
