Do you think you could make a "trailer version" too? Would be awesome :)
We need something like this for PZ :D
(edit: added yt timestamp, no need to watch the hole thing - unless you want to)
I think you should increase the road width from 2 to 4 to deal with the limitations due to Zomboids square grid.
It is nearly impossible to make a continuous road due to this.
Add to that the problem that currently the gravel is way off when driving in any of the cardinal directions on screen. (straight up/down/left/right) In these specific directions the gravel gets dumped next to the truck which might be due to some wonky vector math and normalization ?
Finally when it comes across an edge gravel tile while dumping gravel, it should probably make it a full tile. This currently seems to be a bit hit or miss which might be related to the square grid issue.
It still saves a ton of time over doing it manually but there's still a lot of manual fixing to do on the roads made.
Skizot's Dump Truck for Filibuster Rhymes F700. It's a B42 version, but they probably have a B41 version as well.
Do want.
I really appreciate everyone's comments! I wasn’t planning to leave this feature on the vanilla truck since you can't realistically dump gravel from an open-bed vehicle without tilting the bed—unless you have someone in the back pushing it out. That said, I’m open to finding a compromise.
Also, if anyone knows a modeler who’d be willing to create a dump truck model specifically for this mod, I'd love to hear from them!

@fin fin fin ravv ravv ravv I'm definitely interested in making sure the erosion on this mod's roads acts the same as the other gravel roads in the game. I'll do some testing myself and If I need to update some flags on the tile or just put wood under it It's not that big a deal.
and gravel floor also works as a normal road (not offroading)
but firstly i really wanted this to become a thing in pz and ty for doing it!
now, as you might know there are some requirements for roads to stay safe from "erosion" system of pz and if im not wrong one of them was: tiles required to have atleast a few tiles of something else than dirt tile to make it unaffected by erosion system "aka trees saplings spawning on ur roads to absurdly kill you system".
so does your mod take this into account, or is it only laying one tile of gravel to each tile?
Perfect model for your idea
