Ah, I see it, thanks. Perhaps a link to this main description near the top of each mod in the collection? "Description of the mod located here:" or similar could be helpful.

@gregariousjb This is a common custom UI map mod, it does what any other mod of its kind does - REPLACES the player's built-in UI map with a different texture.
Its main description is in the link to the full collection of maps in this family at the very beginning of the description above - it was quite large, and I didn't want to add it to the page of EVERY variation of this map, but placed it in the collection itself.

Always happy to help, @mikaboy5 !
True, I can answer with a REALLY big delay, because real life does not leave me a single chance to take a breath right now :steammocking:

Nothing in the description or images to explain what this mod actually does

Thank you so much, Neman! It’d be amazing to have the incredible level of detail you put into the map. I’ll message you on Discord later—really appreciate your generosity and support! :GhostFlowerHappy::praisesun:

Glad my work was useful for your project, @mikaboy5 ! :steamhappy:
I mentioned this on my topo collection main page earlier, but I'll remind you that I can still render the map in its original 17Kpx resolution with any overlays, so that artists like you don't have to mess around with the compressed 8Kpx DDS version.
Message me here or on the Second Life of Kenshi Discord if you want that version.

Thanks for the feedback, I generally agree with your point @Guv , but I didn't have enough time to come up with a mechanism for combining ground and overlaymap textures - similar to what's in the game - so in the first version I'm only using a blend of a HUGE overlaymap texture + filtered game UI map + temperature component of a GIS heightmap. Because the actual biome tile positions don't always match the overlaymap textures - in the game we see "blackness" much further away, and in the future I might find a way to generate the "biome ground + weather tint" texture itself for blending.

i love the map, however it seems like some colours are still off. This is an issue the vanilla has too - prolly worse. An example; many areas around the black desert are pitch black in game, but beige on the map. I wish I could post images here to show, but the entire area south of the black swamp cuts off too quickly on the map, its all still black in game.

Hi! Your map mod is one of my favorites—the detail is next level! I originally had a vanilla-style map, but yours was such a huge improvement that I used it as a reference to update my Spanish version. I’ve made sure to give you and all the original authors clear credit. Seriously, thank you for sharing such an amazing mod!

If you’re curious, here’s the link to my adapted version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3424237111 . Let me know if you’d like me to adjust anything!

Thanks @TeddyChynski ! I decided to try this only because I accidentally found YOUR awesome collection of mapping resources, and without it I doubt I would have managed.
