It's called the Third Reich, because the First Reich is the Holy Roman Empire, the Second Reich is German Empire, and the Third Reich is Nazi Germany. If you want to be pedantic the official name of Nazi Germany was Deutsches Reich, or German Reich, and after 1943 it changed to Großdeutsches Reich or Greater German Reich. And the main goal of the Nazis was to establish the Großgermanisches Reich or Greater Germanic Reich. I don't believe that historical accuracy makes a person a Nazi. Third Reich is only half a German phrase, while "Reich" is a German word for "Empire" or "Realm" (Fun fact: the "German Empire" should've technically been translated to "German Reich), the "Third" is simply the English word.
