Sadly, Mount and Blade doesn't really inform you what caused the crash without running it with real programmers' debugging tools. So your only option to figure out what mod does this is to deactivate all and turn them on one by one.
It still does it a little bit through those +2% damage perks, but that alone is not worth the 5 levels.
A rather boring and predictable system. Also makes the smithing skill obsolete in my opinion, since you can find or buy items of these qualities in the game naturally. That means smithing in curren vanilla is only for customization and maybe some money making. None of which seems really worth the focus points.
I always copy all my mods from there over to the game's module folder, (you can rename the numbered head folder after) because otherwise Steam Workshop might redownload files and overwrite your edits. I guess I should look into transferring all options to a MC menu.
@ Muffet: I know, but it isn't realistically possible, because focus points + attribute points + overskill range define a softcap limit of about ~330. That is why I made a mod that lifts the hardcap level limit from 63, give attribute points per level (but at half effect), and smooth the exponential XP cost for levels.(vanilla has player softcap at latest level 40, but I had games with level 100+)
There were more things to do once expanding the intended reach of the game too.
PS: Where can I find the xml file? (searched in steam-steamapps etc fr the config.xml to edit the attributes to give out more but I cant find it
