playstation 2 11 Apr @ 1:53pm
f*ck me, never mind bro
have youplayedthehitgameamongus  [author] 11 Apr @ 1:47pm
theres no way for it to change the look of it without affecting the fuel behavior
playstation 2 9 Apr @ 3:29am
what i mean is just changing the look of it, without touching anything else.

the fuel consumption is actually controlled by the nav console script, and this mod replaces the whole script so you cannot use with fuel behavior changing mods anyway
playstation 2 8 Apr @ 12:03am
so it only changes the look of the console to be the classic console, without any of the fuel stuff

what do you mean change the ui?
playstation 2 7 Apr @ 1:23pm
could you perhaps make a version that just changes the ui? I would really like to use this with fullscreen starmap (768p) aswell

ok thanks for guidance

feel free to make your own addon lol
make sure priority in metadata is higher than 6000, as this mod have priority of 6000 for desperate intention of avoiding collisions with other navigation mods

fuel costs are located under cockpit.config/intraFuelCost or something like that, 200 and 50 respectively

Any chance you post separate mod for in-system/interplanetary fuel travel not being free?
Aethis 24 Mar @ 10:49pm

My melancholies were answered.

Fond memories unlocked. I have been bothered lately because I could have *sworn* navigation used to be different. Played all through the beta. There is so much they should never have changed. I appreciate what you did here even if it is jank.

However space stations do not work
Sky Maker 21 Mar @ 2:03pm

update: the cockpit.config file is now changed to cockpit.config.patch
if any of yall reading this wanted to improve usefulness, well now you can

i don't mind you decompiling my mods aswell, do whatever it takes for satisfaction

I LOVE the old navigation gui compared to the current one, but dang, if it's that messy, I might have to avoid it XD

↓↓ One last thing is that it completely hijacks the ship speed parameter. In order make the hyperjump aethetics for in-system travels (like how it used to be), it locks the ship's speed to 281474976710655, which could potentially confuse some mods?

Holy fucking shit.

This mod refuses to work with my modpack but my god this brought so much nostalgia upon opening the starmap again. I should definitely create a separate modpack with this in mind! It totally sucks for today's version of Starbound obviously but god damn this is amazing work.

Just like the description says, this IS an invasive mod and it does more than just rewrite the starmap:
- Changes the font of the game as well.
- Changes the escape menu as mentioned by Silver.
- Changes the name of Casual to Normal, Normal to Hardcore and Hardcore to Permadeath.
- Some other changes I haven't found because I was unable to actually test it in-depth because well... it doesn't like my current modpack...

Very cool mod despite the issues!

:impressive: :quad:

I remember playing bunch of mods years ago including yours in search of any mods that adds the retro console (i never played old versions but i wanted to see it so much), only to find that literally no mods in existence does this...Never thought I'd be the one to make one lol

Yoo you're creator of betabound
I did play Glad Giraffe but the aspect ratio of the UI felt wrong to me and plus there was no sectors anymore so i decided to go with Enraged Koara instead
I thought of wrapping the weather section down to make it fit within EK's navigation console, but I decided to not lol
Silver Sokolova 18 Mar @ 3:04am
i also like how you changed the ESC menu :3
Silver Sokolova 18 Mar @ 2:38am
omg i love it, especially how sectors are handled. you could look at the giraffe versions of the navigation console for weather/geological displays and descriptions
