@ariane. Hey, just wanted to thank you for the information on modding the game's music.

At the time when Warno released, I was confused as to why the process was seemingly changed from Steel Division 2 and never bothered with it, but you really helped me understand it better and managed to make my own music mod.

Most of these look like they belong in "GameData:"... folder but i had no luck finding this "GameData"

@DexterTheRuss AFAIK, there is a definition list for all the voicelines for units, afaik the file had descriptor suffix. However the sounds themselves do not point to a resource directory, but instead to an object, which basicslly means the game has some kind of in engine thing for voices. So it seems not very easy to modify the voicelines, if there even is a way.

any findings to prove me wrong would be a godsend though, i am planning to change them as well.

@ariane Thank you! Is it theoretically possible to edit voicelines of units that way? Or are unit quotes something so directly involved with the game that it is not editable without damaging the game?

@DexterTheRuss you make a mod directory through the modfolder and then running createnewmod.bat, once you do that you can actually edit the game files INSIDE that folder. That folder does not have any assets of any kind aside from config files where you can edit directories, rules, and some other data. You can also add your own asset folder inside of the gamedata folder itself.

Hello! How did you find "Gamedata/Sound..."? How do i find this folder in the game files?
ariane.  [author] 26 Mar @ 8:00pm
@Belisarius go to Gamedata/Sound/PerpetualMusic and then change all the directories there
