You only need to use the original forge, thats what I used anyways and it was infinite.

ok i checket it out i had the golden Forge put the log into the log slot and have waited the log is gone and the fuel is not infinityeven when the timer is run out is not infinity

you dont need stronger forges if you use this.

Why useless? It works in my game. you put wood in the time never goes down, you put ore in its all automatically smelted..
