This is really nice! The idea is really unique! Personally id try and make a better icon though, as this could be perceived as just another HL1 Blood Decal port. Maybe an animated Icon showing the original, then yours! Good addon though!

i dig it, a reverse could be funny too, hl1 blood in the shape of hl2 blood splatters (basically how tf2 did it? i guess? they are the same shapes as hl2 blood but stylized.)
