I initially thought that it'd be better to just represent it as a fraction, since that's a common way of represented a part of a whole -- but actually showing us the deficit from max, the thing we'll actually want to know when deciding to eat the candybar or the soda, is far more direct. Convenient once you get used to it! Though maybe separate the two with a colon : instead of a slash / ?
