Does this re-enable the sexual doctrine?
Irish_Bear 10 Jun @ 12:04pm
dwemer wen?

can you make it so that you can summon dragons if you worship alduin no matter what religion? I don't know what ek2 mod adds the dragons but for some reason even though I follow alduin, I can't really summon dragons unless I follow the dragon cult or the new moon cult
Richard 31 May @ 5:54pm
can you add support to reform the dragon cult? I can't do the blood focus because lack of divine purity tenet
Pigsy 13 May @ 11:40pm
I think the devs of EK2 left faith reformation out of their mod for a reason. I like the inclusion of more lore-accurate stuff, but the unreformed debuffs are just too high when it comes to conversion.
brickhead 10 May @ 5:37pm
i dont like some of the religion descriptions and renaming things to '____ conversion' since that feels like clunky english.

auri-el's description kinda stuck out to me as not being a very concise explanation of the religion and their beliefs. too much about how the religion came into being and not enough about what they believe. otherwise those those nitpicks pretty cool
☦ White October ☧ 24 Apr @ 8:42pm
Jyggalag cult would be cool
Black Tarram 23 Apr @ 11:18pm
I'm really interested in doing a freebooter adventurer play through as a dark brotherhood cell but the sithis religions aren't conducive to it and recreating a religion takes too much ground work prep, any chance i could get a custom tailored religion with holy sites across tamriel like dawnstar, bravil and cheydinhal
MangoCobra 19 Apr @ 12:05am
That's fine, I was just curious!
Adelaetus  [author] 18 Apr @ 10:20pm
@MangoCobra
1) Unlike the original version, the relationship between beliefs in EK2 has a detailed calculation formula, and the hostility is obtained through standardized quantitative data, which is not something I can change. Or you can just understand that Worldly-God is a monotheistic religion, destined to be at odds with polytheism.
2)You're right, I forgot to back up one of the versions, which caused it to roll back. I'm fixing that right away.
MangoCobra 18 Apr @ 10:12pm
Also, two more questions (and one thing I noticed), sorry for this -
1) Why is the Hero Cult hostile with the Worldly-God cult? They both worship Reman (although I suppose worshiping Reman exclusively is very different than having a sub cult worshiping im.)
2) Is it possible for the Wendelbeki to worship the Aedra as well, like they did as the Malada?

As for the thing I noticed:
Aspect of Religious Conflict and Missing God: Truth both give the ability to wage Holy War againts Hostile faiths.
MangoCobra 18 Apr @ 9:51pm
Oh, I haven't played ESO, but alright. I thought that more than one member of the Dragonguard remained, but that's fair.

IIRC it was Renault, wasn't it? (I'm assuming, the Remananda is my favorite elder scrolls book) - Maybe he could have that faith then? Sorry for not knowing about ESO lore! Never got into the game sadly.

Thanks for considering my second suggestion though!
Adelaetus  [author] 18 Apr @ 9:19pm
@MangoCobra Good day.
1) Dragonguard Brotherhood is not for normal people. The Dragon Guard is a special organization. All of them have special skills and are keen on slaying dragons. In the late Second Era, the Dragon Guards almost disappeared. If you have played TESO, you will know that as of 2e582, there is only one Dragon Guard left.
2) Sure.
MangoCobra 18 Apr @ 9:12pm
Hey I have two ideas -
1) Maybe Cloud Ruler should have Dragonguard Brotherhood as their starting faith?
2) Maybe Worldly-God could be polygamous (for men), as Reman I very famously had multiple wives, and so did members of his dynasty.
Adelaetus  [author] 12 Apr @ 9:18pm
@k5pr Thanks. Just simply tell me where. I'll fix them and add add more texts next version.:VBOY:
UNITY OFFICER KASPER 11 Apr @ 7:07am
No problem! It took me about an hour to figure out but I got it! Modding compatibility with any PDX game is entirely hinged on 'but did you replace it entirely or just the bit you wanted? Oh just the bit you wanted? Get bent."

If you'd like some localisation help for the in-game text (I've found a few things I'd fix) I'd be more than happy to help!
Adelaetus  [author] 11 Apr @ 3:23am
@k5pr Thank you. I really overestimated the modding compatibility of CK3. In another mod of mine, I modified all the Roman characters, so I directly used 00 as the prefix to overwrite the original file. Obviously, this is the safest approach. About the icons, I will improve them in the next version, I'm busy making a MOD list for Skyrim recently. Thank you again for your support.

Hey! So I found a weird bug that I've resolved (sort of).

Basically this bug duplicates and/or clones each child in the Aleshut dynasty, ie Belharza will have a 'brother' listed under Al-Esh. So the dynasty tree gets...very big, very quickly.

Right now I have a fix with only two (relatively small) things that need resolved.

1. Rename zz_older_empires.txt to 00_older_empires.txt in your mod folder.
2. Copy the entirety of the the EK2 text for 00_older_empires.txt into your mods relative file and replace the Alessian text that you edited to reflect your changes.

I can share my edited .txt file if needed.

I love this mod, it 100% should be included into the base mod.

One suggestion I would make is that the Alessian Divines Cult should have the Aleshut emblem instead of the Third Empire Emblem.

I'd also love to contribute some localisation fixes I've found.
BigPharma 8 Apr @ 11:37am
Iron Oaths is basically unreformable due to being limited to only three holy sites, one of which is in the Summerset Isles under Alinor. Can another holy site be added?
KaiserOnTheRun 8 Apr @ 6:56am
Think you'll do some dabbling with the Daedric Faiths too?
I'll have to try this out when I'm not playing the Lilmothiit.
Ziege 7 Apr @ 6:53pm
Is my glorius King Jyggalag in this mod?
ILVIUS 7 Apr @ 1:23pm
Might you consider sprucing up the Brethren? They could use some new goodies, or at-least make 'vampire' accepted.
Shazzer 7 Apr @ 6:29am
Great mod, I really enjoy it!
Starshine 6 Apr @ 9:33pm
Why break up the Nedic/Niben cults and heroes from the Divines? when they are all functionally in communion and cults within the same 'ImperialCult-endom'

Also I'd agree with the weirdness over the world conversion, X Cults, X Divines, X Rite would all fit better.

@Re:na Zawerds Спасибо!
Re:na Zawerds 6 Apr @ 1:03pm
от души, классный мод)
Adelaetus  [author] 6 Apr @ 8:04am
@Archduke of Pjërym You can try it yourself. However, ULTIMATE is too complicated and redundant, and contains a lot of content that is more fun than rigorous, so the possibility of compatibility is not very high.
Adelaetus  [author] 6 Apr @ 7:59am
@Goggr5 If you want to put Shezarr in the pantheon, truth is a must.
Archduke of Pjërym 6 Apr @ 5:30am
Is ULTIMATE Elder Kings compatible?
Goggr5 6 Apr @ 3:50am
Should't the "Missing God: Truth" add Lorkhan/Shezarr to the pantheon?
dennis 5 Apr @ 4:26pm
really interesting mod, always nice discussing ES religious ideas. the fact that all the gods are real and everyone sorta agrees they all exist but their names are all different. yffre, and Jephre.
NoobPlayer_Nore 5 Apr @ 5:26am
The road to restoring the truth is bumpy, especially in an IP like Elder Scrolls that is full of contradictory documents. We should not accuse the other party of political propaganda when the facts do not meet our expectations. My friend, this is just a game! This mod really restores the lore very seriously, even the Ayleid elves are treated meticulously. It is always good to learn more new things.:steamhappy:
Adelaetus  [author] 5 Apr @ 5:06am
@The Emperor Are you saying that content I produced for the Ayleids (enemies of the Nedes), and the new Aetherius religions (partners of Magnus), can be called Nedic propaganda? Come on, my friend, be honest. As the author, I just have the obligation to respond to the questions raised by everyone. If no one questions me, I will never take the initiative to engage in propaganda.:Intelligentsia:
The Emperor 5 Apr @ 4:17am
Too much Nedic propaganda here
Adelaetus  [author] 4 Apr @ 10:15pm
@Dovah In addition to strengthening the accuracy of Lore, I basically followed the attitude of EK2 itself. EK2 itself said that "the Nords have always seen themselves as outlanders", and the Nords have never truly become a native race, which was particularly evident when they backstabbed Falkreath's Nedic (Kreath, the name source of Fal-kreath) allies in front of the Paravant and were spat on by Pelinal for their brutal attitude towards the Nedic people. Ultimately, my goal is to encourage religious reform among the Nords and other similar races, which is why I added a large number of unreformed religions. Atmoran ancient path or Tamriel localization, It's a question.:VBOY:
Adelaetus  [author] 4 Apr @ 10:02pm
@Dovah The basis for my naming is the locality of religious culture. Nedes and Ayleids are native civilizations that have lived in Tamriel since the Merethic Era. They have the most fundamentalist understanding of Divines. From this perspective, the difference between Nords and Ra'Gada is only the time they came to Tamriel. According to records, even the name of Kynareth was invented by the Nedes and was regarded as a curse by the Ayleids of the same period. It goes without saying that Mara is a fence-sitter. Stendarr and Z'en are even names of gods that the elves once had. The dominance of the Nords has always been exaggerated. Even if Paravant is committed to promoting reconciliation between the Nords and the elves (this is also the original source of Nordic Conversion), we still cannot ignore the actual actions of Maruhkati to try to reverse all this.
Dovah 4 Apr @ 2:07pm
@Adelaetus I don't disagree, but "Nordic Conversion" is still a pretty unexciting name. Surely we can come up with something better? By comparison, Yoku Conversion makes a bit more sense since they're much newer to the continent and more isolated from events in Cyrodiil, but the Nords and Nedes have coexisted with each other for a very long time, and that exchange of cultural ideas, (be it through conquest or otherwise) should be reflected in the name. Right now your naming scheme implies that they and the Redguards are on the same level of integration. Even vanilla EK2 goes out of its way to make it clear that the Yokudan peoples of Tamriel aren't as religiously integrated as some of the other races of men.

Just something to think about.
Huitzi0 4 Apr @ 11:55am
Hell Yeah
Adelaetus  [author] 4 Apr @ 7:34am
@Unejin No. Just ask Ayleids and Nedes, they won't agree. You can go and learn about some deep lore, it's time to abandon the PGE1 lies. Atmorans worshiped totems, then their faiths were infused with the Nedic Divines, which is used to correspond to their totems. In fact, it is a common arrogant prejudice to think that the Nords are the ancestors of the Nedes' faiths.

It's not your fault:guardian:

When Tiber put the knife to the neck of the Imperial Geographical Society, they had to lie. This is why PGE2 was full of sarcasm and ridicule and was eventually banned.
Unejin 4 Apr @ 6:43am
Nordic "conversion" is a stupid name, they were a source for the imperial pantheon
Pilatian 4 Apr @ 2:20am
It's definitely one of the interpretations of all time.
