Never looked at things that deep XD

I was just thinking deepintheforest1.wav must be used somewhere, if not in official campaigns, then possibly in custom ones. I personally like to be safe than sorry.

Regarding the stmusic files, I just thought it would take less work to just mute them instead of replacing them with a completely different audio file. If you were to replace them with the so-called blank.wav, you will have adjust the length to match each one in order to avoid distorted noises. Not sure about how much difference there is in terms of the file size tho.

But hey, you are the artist. If you find you work satisfactory for you, that's what's important, and I can respect your decisions.

now I've figured to find deepintheforest1.wav. it's in the very beginning of cold stream, that being the boat. it's going to play after you stay there for a considerable amount of time, (I have no idea why would anyone ever do that, but oh well, I see it now).

on another note, in your saferoom addon, have you replaced the intros with muting the whole section, thus leaving the file the same size? I'm not entirely sure... but I think blank.wav works without making any sound disturbances. I haven't tested it out for long to know for sure.

what I mean... when you mute the music, it still has it's file size.
how about copying blank.wav located anywhere. like uh. sound/npc, it should be right there.
copy it, paste it, and rename it to those stmusic files. it probably works, and takes a considerable less size?... I still have to make sure that it doesn't make any weird noise... thanks anyhow I suppose

figures... thanks for suggesting

the reason why I didn't replace deepintheforest1.wav, is because... I didn't find it being used... anywhere. it's longer than the usual saferoom tracks, 35 seconds rather than 30. and the saferooms in cold stream seem to not care for it as much. maybe it's only for the intro? I don't know... maybe I'm deaf? I'll get to the bottom of that eventually.

now for the jingles that play briefly... I figure I can tinker with that. however, I think it's best if I make a seperate smaller addon that mutes them, as for people to choose whether or not they want it or not. does that sound good?

If I may, I would advise replacing deepintheforest1.wav as well.
I'd also recommend replacing the following stmusic music files with muted audio. Doing so silences those music that plays briefly before the saferoom music:
- bloodharvestintro.wav
- deadairintro.wav
- deathtollintro.wav
- nomercyintro.wav
- youhadbetterpray.wav

You can use the stmusic folder from my saferoom music mod file if you'd like.

This works quite well for saferoom music.
Very relaxing, and it also makes you feel poor and not beautiful enough, but let's not dwell on that.
