The way I tried it was with 2 winches one at the top of the sail and one at the bottom. One would extend and the other would retract and on a large main sail the ropes could start to jitter out thats why abandoned that system on my build and went for something simpler but uglier

Wolfmendroiteka - I have not experienced that, no. But you do need to make sure to keep tension on the ropes at all times generally.

Did you have any issues with rope physics when trying to raise and lower the sail cause thats something I have issue with on one of my builds
