No you're right. You basically make the xdr mod replace louis’ custom anim swap thingies in a new custom model that have them separated while keeping the resto of the survivors the same as the original addon. Luckly the model does exist here . Just would need to be a requirement and be loaded at a lower order.

@Pyromaniax Louis refers to Francis' animations, so only if the model of Louis has his own animation set it will work with xdR. So unfortunately the model itself needs to be custom. Most models use the default Francis animations so there's not much xdR can do about it.

Or maybe I'm too dumb but for default Louis use the xdR compatible mod and for custom models you'd have to add the animations to that model yourself :(

It's only the animation model seperated. Could work but on my quick test it was the same. Not sure if the models need to be compatible by using the new animation reference. Just unsure how it works with xdR but I'll test some more at a later date

There could be a way to make it work on all survivors by having the addon fix everything as usual with francis like the base addon but having Louis anim replaced on this model

We noticed this too although Its a ok compromise, but well hopefully one day well get a way to separate the anims
