I found what was causing the problem. The darkness campaign breaks the camera, might be causing problems with others.

i have this idea for a co-op mod for the watcher, so basically when another person or slugpup is being held or piggybacked when the watcher uses their ability it would work on the other player/slugpup too. (that's it)

yes, i intend to add levitation options- current feature being worked on, actually.
in theory, this should work perfectly fine in expedition mode; watcher not being activated for expedition in the first place is a different issue that needs a different mod to fix.
shattered terrace echo will be dealt with when i manage to figure out activating watcher's powers for non-watcher slugcats. thank you for the heads up.

suggestion: if player 1 isn't watcher in watcher's campaign, the echo in shattered terrace just instantly becomes tangible when max ripple karma is reached

@birichino no, as far as my testing goes it should allow other players to use watcher's powers as well. if it does not, that is a bug i need to fix.

@Tuko i intended this mod to just allow people to toggle watcher's powers on or off as they please. i may be able to add that in the future once i have figured out how to enable the two powers i am currently working on.

@-|Eli|- there is an option to turn it off in the mod menu. otherwise it uses the vanilla mechanics. i cannot help you there.

The floating is annoying when just trying to use invis as it slows you down if running

A lot of The Watcher’s abilities change based of the current karma, activating and deactivating when it changes(for example the floating requires at least 3 current karma if I remember correctly), so that might be a nice thing to add, though I can imagine it being difficult

About the warping ability, I have done some playing around with the warp menu mod and it seems that all regions in the base game still exist in the watcher campaign, but it's simply that no spot on any of the regions is marked for you to be manually warped there or from any actual portals. I don't quite know how this works, but based on what I do know, I assume that unless you change the entire map for every campaign (including modded ones), it would be possible to make the warp function, but it would only be able to teleport to the regions that exist in the base game/dlc campaigns, and there would likely have to have custom manual warp points set.

@Lucky Bunny i can't do that. it is a world map issue, not a watcher being able to open rifts/not open rifts issue. that will need to be another mod, sorry. i do intend to make a toggle to allow rifts but they will just not take you anywhere in other campaigns.

@riley_ i originally did not plan to implement that. however, i will put a pin in it since i am planning to modify watcher's rift-opening behaviour in other campaigns (see the comments below yourself), so i will see if i can implement that.

I'd like it that maybe Watcher keeps their rift teleport thing, but maybe it is moddable instead? Though..that's more something that'd be appropriate for a mod all about the rifts, and not just Watcher's own powers.

@a mermaid with anxiety okay. what's happening is that the way i've implemented this is just by setting the current watcher karma level without raising the max karma. the error that is happening is that random buff is trying to/needs to grab the max level for whatever reason. i'll see if i can do a workaround.

You should make opening a rift have the same effect as if you try to make one in a room that already has one (where it does the full thing but stuns you and doesn't warp you), but replace the text with "nuh uh" or something.

exactly the mod i've been looking for! sorry if it's a tall ask, since the mod is brand new, but could we ever expect Random Buff support? in fact, you can't play the game at will with random buff & this mod enabled together. i get two separate errors, depending on whether i go to play story (tried to play monk) or buff (tried to play watcher) mode. i turned off my other mods for testing this.
