The animations are AMAZING. So, props for that.
There are tons of ways one can do to port a character from one game to another. Silent could have been a knife throwing, repeatable action shiv thrower. The issue is porting skills that don't have 1:1 or similar mechanics in DD since those mechanics just doesn't exist in DD, like exhaust or "Double protection" or "copy the next attack".
With that you'll end up with just a lot of super basic attack cards and some skill cards. With those, you'll basically just end up with a fairly generic frontline character. Playing into his lore of fighting for control with the demon he made a pact with gives him some character in playstyle. Playing into the fire theme of some of his skills allowed us to give him some synergy with other mods and heroes, something he would have lacked otherwise.
Then equip runic cube.
The limited actions are meant to eventually force you into demon form. You have to plan to end your combat before then. It fits his theme as he's wrestling with the demon he made a pact with for control.
And the limited actions in demon form are because the attacks there are really powerful while costing HP.
but i don't like the limited skill use thing, i didn't like it on the silent either but at least it felt fitting for the character, here it just feels like an inconvenience
HELL YES
