Yeahhh there were more once, like the Renegade vehicle pack. Maybe because the early mods were direct ports and not original models.
It hurts less now since there's so many mods that you can fill in most slots with historical vehicles. You likely know already but check out this person.

there was abunch of C&C mods [more so red alert and i think two renengade ones a vehicle pack and a map] but still both were removed for whatever reasons by the creators of them...
