don't think it's so much abandoned, as it is finished. They did as much as they felt it needed and stopped working since it felt done.

In regard to that one guy's complaint about the similarity to Ninjapirate's mod; one, the model is completely different. Two, the sounds are completely different. And, most importantly, three, the weapon's damage, fire rate, and such are noticeably different. I actually am subscribed to both, and I like to keep both; NinjaPirate's cannon is a faster-firing, slightly weaker (per shot) cannon, while this reminds me of the P-39's 37mm cannon; slower firing, but has higher damage. I think NinjaPirate's autocannon has slightly higher overall DPS, but for sniping, this cannon is great.

Keep up the good work, SyKo! If you'd like to do everyone a favor, try out NinjaPirate's autocannon, and try to balance your cannon to do an equal amount of overall damage over a period of 5 seconds, while maintaining your gun's slower firing rate. It would make a great addition, and make both guns worth using. That said, I'm still totally using this. :)

this is great but the muzzle flash is not quite positioned right and sometimes the sound cuts out oddly. any chance of giving this a little polish? it is almost perfect.

also, it would be better to relable it as something other than just "autocannon" to avoid confusion with other mods

Great addition to a heavy fighter when used in tandem with a gatling gun or CSD's scatter and autocannons. They're just different enough in fire rate, damage and aesthetics that they can be differentiated when used together. Stellar mod

i have to agree with cryptkeeper_00769 you need to fix where the round is coming from and also fix the projectile speed if you can cause travelling at max speed on my friends server i quite litereally out paced the bullets and killed my auto cannons... so a few things to fix. 1 proper projectile exit placement. 2 projectile speed so we arent running into our own bullets even on laggy servers. and 3 for goodness sakes fix the volumes x.x can hear these cannons at over 1km out from origin source. other then those few things beautiful.

Thanks for the feedback, i may simply need to push the muzzle_projectile dummy further towards the front of the barrel, might've been something i forgot to adjust.

almost forgot, this is somethingi have noticed wth quite a few gun mods, having the rounds come from the correct part of the gun, from what i saw it looks as tho yours comes from about half way down the barrel instead of the barrel tip, much better than some mods that the raound come from the base of the gun and damages other pieces, but still a noticeable 'discrepency' i thought to mention

I have his CSD cannons and-minus sound issues that keep showing up- his large ship version is a spot on success, i also have this one and personally think your small ship cannon is better than his(actually replaced all his small ship versions with this one), this is a sandbox game in alpha state, it is hard to know what everyone else is doing for mods and most of the time from what i see each mod is an improvement/varient of another i have not personally seen a copy of someone elses work. people need to stop making accusations, give constructive feedback/criiticism where applicable, and enjoy the mods and appeciate the time and effort that was taken to make them.
BTW love the mod, thanks for putting it out.

Rounding of the edges is easy, but for the sake of performance i kept it in style with SE (Octagonal barrels etc), if you like things round i could make a super funky TurboSmoothed version of the model :P

Well mate you ought to un-subscribe then, i made this mod during the process of which i was learning how to import such mods, of which started about a week ago, i didnt even know who ninja pirate was until @Miwabou2's comment so take your opinions and fuck right off.

I hope its survival ready :), its been active on our server for the last 48 Hours as we test it plus some other mods, I do plan on eventually expanding this and hopefully making it into a pack of weapons For small ships and a pack for large ships, but again that is for the future.

Miwabou2; This idea was dreamt up after wishing to have an APC Automatic cannon style weapon like you'd see on earlier BMP or Bradley machines.

Definately, it was only uploaded as we were testing a few mods at a time on the server so most icons etc are just place holders, i've just hit holidays and this'll definately be seeing some future changes.
